This small hotel was very clean, nicely remodeled and comfortable. Rooms were upstairs and there were tables and chairs on the main floor where you could have a continental breakfast of breads, croissants, good jam and coffee. Price was good. Owner spoke French and not much English and we didn't speak much French but we were able to communicate enough. The owner was friendly and clearly made the effort to make our three night stay nice. We wished we spoke more French so we could have talked with her more. I would think the rooms would be hot in the middle of summer without air conditioning or a fan but our our room temperature was fine when we were there in June, There is an outdoor porch but it was too hot for us to sit out there. We wished the was a place at the hotel to sit comfortably outside in the shade. Be aware there was some vehicle noise on the street below our window for about a half hour in the mornings but overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel. More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

The hotel is small, but very well located in St Enimie, a village big enough to have a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and canoe hire on perhaps the best sections of the Tarn for canoeing. The hotel building is old, but the rooms (including bathrooms) have recently been renovated to a high standard. For €50 per night, we had a small but adequate-sized room with shower, a very comfortable bed and a view directly down onto the river. The free wifi was the fastest and least troublesome of any hotel wifi during our few weeks in France. The proprietor speaks little English but is patient and pleasant, and with very little French I was able to communicate well with her.

The hotel offers a simple fresh breakfast for €7 per person. We found good restaurants within 200 metres. If you are thinking of canoeing the Tarn in late September, when the river level is low, some experience is really a pre-requisite for a good experience.
