This hotel is typical of so many in France - modest bedroom and inadequate bathroom. The layout of the hotel was confusing with our bedroom being between two floors accessed by a minute lift. The bedroom defined as a studio had a kitchenette, a separate and sunny lounge and a rooftop area, so plenty for your money! The bathroom was... More

On a walking tour from Setcases to Banyuls sur Mer we walked into the village of Ceret and our accommodation at this charming art hotel. Gilles was very informative and obviously proud of his heritage in this region. While it is accommodation and breakfast the Cafe next door is excellent and it was great to be able to sit so... More

stopped off in Ceret on the way down to the Costa Blanca. Very simple but clean and comfortable hotel. Owners are very pleasant and breakfast was a real treat. Ceret is a wonderful little hidden town in the hills at the French/Spanish border and definitely worth the very slight detour as you exit the motorway at Le Boulou

Right in the heart of beautiful Ceret, the location is perfect. Our room with 2 little balconies was spacious and had fantastic views of the village and mountains beyond. The busy Saturday market set up and started and we slept through it all as we closed the wooden shutters outside the windows the night before! Some of the staff could... More

The staff welcomed us enthusiastically and were keen to speak English, which is always good for those of us with only basic O-level French.... Our room was a Suite on the fourth floor and was light, spacious and airy with two double French patio doors with Juliette balconies with fabulous views over pretty much the Centre of the beautiful Town... We go to Ceret at least once a year and always stay at the Hotel des Arcades. The Staff - most within an extended family - are courteous, attentive and welcoming. The rooms, especially the superior ones (for not much more than the standard ones) are pleasant, well-fitted and comfortable. The views are splendid, whether from the front onto an... More

I found both the proprietor and his wife very accomodating and informative. The room was quiet and clean and the breakfast typical of France i.e. predictable and unvaried but sound.Overall a very good experience.Thank you.

We stayed for two nights in room S7, a large double with a balcony overlooking the historic square. There is nothing not to like, clean room, bright light and evening sun on the balcony. A basic but very functional and pleasant stay. The Pablo bar downstairs is a pleasant place for a pichet of wine and there is a super... More

We chose Arcades because it is situated in the middle of the village, and has secure parking and a lift. We were glad of the garage space, because the market on Saturday stretches through the main streets! The welcome was fine, the room good, clean and spacious ( we had chosen a superior room, for not much more than a... More

Some years ago I stayed here for 1 night. A week ago, I stayed here for 4 nights and I will absolutely recommend this hotel. The room was big and cosy, with A/C, a huge bathroom, very comfortable bed and a small balcony. Superfriendly and helpful staff. I don't hesitate one second to stay here again!

“We booked a "Suite" S11 fourth floor it had a double bed and a single bed, overlooking the Picasso Fountain. Old fashioned furniture with great charm. It was nice to hear the noise of the day to day living in this charming town. I would recommend a visit to this beautiful town.”
