The facilities have not changed but service has improved a lot, probably due to the fact that there are fewer guests because of Covid19. The facilities are safe and special thanks to the kindness of reception staff Lara and Rebecca.
The hotel is very nice, very well located. We had a very good time there! The room was amazing! The breakfast was a bit redundant, I hope next time they will have more different things for people that don't eat meat (like salmon, more cheese types, nuts...)
Prior to my visit I contacted the hotel regarding booking and paying for early check in on my arrival date. This was not straight forward- first I was made aware that I have to pay for the early check in prior to my visit and pay for my original accommodation on arrival. When I tried to make a payment over the phone I was told there was no booking under my name for my dates. It took several calls back and forth to sort this all out. The outcome resulting in, they do not take payments over the phone and I am to make all payment on arrival (early check in and original accommodation). A lot of time wasted and panic for no reason. On arrival at the hotel, we asked if breakfast could be sorted for the early check in date only and we were assured that would be sorted for free for us as we had children with us. This was not to be the case as we were presented with a bill at the breakfast table. When we explained that the lady at the desk said she would sort it, they told us not to worry, it’s ok, we can leave. The restaurant: Not too much selection, however food was very nice. Service however, not the best. The staff who could not speak English respond with ‘NO ENGLISH’ and walk away leaving us unattended and waiting a longer period of time for a member of staff who could assist us, even then I had to get up and ask to be served. Check out: There is a drop in box, where you can drop your keys when checking out. We asked if we should use this, the man at the desk said no I will take it. No problem, we left the hotel. An hour or so later on checking my account I see that a sum of £34.65 had been taken from the hotel. Obviously I made contact asking what the payment was for, their response was city tax (which was fine) and breakfast on the day of arrival (not fine). I went on to explain the situation about breakfast with descriptions of the staff we spoke to and received no response. I was appalled that a payment was taken without my consent or knowledge and even after expressing that, no acknowledgment, responsibility or refund was offered. The hotel itself: The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were lovely. And MOST of the staff friendly and attentive. There is a free shuttle bus which runs from cdg airport to and from the hotel with a regular service between 5am Ish until approximately 1am which is very useful. …
The hotel is clean and convenient for the airport but service in all areas bar restaurant and checkouts was not good. When getting your deposit of 50 euros returned you are told that there is a city tax to pay of just over €5 on giving a €10 euro note she ignored my request for change - it’s not a lot of money and I would have put the change in the charity box but I hate assumptions and just think how much money they make if they did that to all their guests.
It seems that even frequent guests get bumped. After spending 102 nights in hotels since the beginning of 2019 [yes, I counted], I was shocked to find that upon arrival, with a fully paid and confirmed non-refundable reservation, the hotel was full. Front desk staff were only empowered to offer a room at a lesser hotel....or something 5 miles away....both completely unacceptable and inadequate. They even tried to blame the booking site I had used. Unfortunately I dont see how a website could be responsible for poor hotel inventory management. Really unprofessional and disappointing. It's not about whether a problem occurs.....it's how the hotel deals with the issue that matters. A great way to turn away a regular from the brand!
