I was travelling by bicycle and had requested a secure place to store my bicycle overnight. I was directed toward the inner, unlocked (?) courtyard and secured my bike to a metal spiral staircase. Before arriving at the hotel I had received an email that included "As a 2-star hotel , we do our best to welcome and to serve... More

It took some finding but this 2 Star hotel offers good amenities with the bonus of a gastronomic restaurant named somewhat modestly La Brasserie. There is a pleasant garden area with car parking available. Although a little faded my room was large, in fact a twin double. All was fine save for a missing wash basin plug. A most generous... We used this as a bed and breakfast and found it's a pleasant but not outstandingly special hotel at the northern outskirts of this mid-sized town on the Loir (sic) which is a tributary river flowing into the internationally-known Loire. Hotel is very convenient for the old, smaller rail station served by slow intermittent stopping trains in this Loir et... More

Spent a couple of nights here as we explored the town. The hotel was fine and the staff friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good and the location was quiet. The location is on the nrth side of the town and the tourist areas are about 20 to 30 munute walk away.

Stayed here for one night on our way to the Dordogne. Reception very friendly and an excellent room in the chalet building around a delightful and quiet garden. Very secure parking since gate was locked at 10 pm each night. Brasserie was both modern and very good - food well served and prepared by friendly and helpful staff. Despite being... More

Stayed one night will passing through the area. Hotel is clean but the overall decor is a little dated. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Overall the hotel represents good value but don't expect anything special.

We stayed here for one night (Sunday) travelling north to catch a ferry. Vendome is very quiet at this time of year on a Sunday. The hotel reception was unmanned in the afternoon when we arrived. We had to let ourselves in using an access code previously supplied and collect the keys from inside. It all worked fine. There is... More

We spent a night in Vendome on our way back to Brittany. The hotel has an excellent location, very helpful staff and a good restaurant. Our only criticism was that the furnishings are somewhat tired but that is in the price. Both town and hotel are recommended for an overnight stay.

We stayed at this hotel on May 15 2014, and it was a great find - clean, comfortable rooms in a very pleasant setting. The restaurant serves delicious food, and Ciarka, the receptionist, couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a comfortable bedroom with an en suite bathroom and separate toilet. The room was clean, and the hotel and grounds are attractive and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would have eaten in their restaurant but were told that the chef was sick. Staff were happy to recommend nearby restaurants.
