We stayed in late July. It looked OK from the outside BUT.... We felt the owner preferred his little dog to any of his human guests. The rooms so not have air conditioning, they're not very clean, it was expensive because it was the only accommodation within miles and he has a captive 'bicycle tour' guest roster. Do NOT get... Stayed here on a recent motorcycle tour. The hotel is in a good location with nice views of the surrounding countryside. The host allowed us to park our bikes in the garage as there were no guests with pushbikes. The rooms are large and well appointed. The bar and restaurant have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The host and... More

We arrive after a long day travelling without a booking and needing three rooms. The owner was very helpful, the rooms clean, the evening dinner very good on both quality and value. There was a garage offered to keep our bikes in although I'd say the main carpark would be safe. For us it it the spot, room, food, cold... More

Really good position overlooking the countryside and easy to access. No longer a Logis de France but it is real value for money. Welcoming, clean, good rooms, excellent restaurant and large car park. Keeps good beers and a sound cellar.

This hotel is in a lovely position with good views from the public areas, the evening meals are nothing special and the breakfasts are poor with little choice. The bedrooms are small and in need of updating and the beds are uncomfortable.Would not recommend this hotel.

Modern, clean, quiet and convenient. Small room and shower room, but I believe that they do have slightly larger rooms (good if you are a couple). I found the staff very helpful and pleasant, the diner was good but not memorable. Breakfast buffet adequate. The dining room with good views over the countryside was a little soulless but not unpleasant.... More

We used this hotel as stop-over place for our journey by car from the South of France back to Belgium. It is at some distance from the Highway but the traffic on secondary roads in this part of France is relaxing as is the landscape you drive through. Our GPS had some difficulties locating the place as there is no... More

During our trip trough the Burgundy region, we had planed a few days for visiting the Tonnerre region. We had booked at this hotel. Alas. Location: built along a trough road between Tonnerre and Chatillion (which doesn’t show at the hotel pictures) and therefore absolutely out of town – so no possibility to have a discovery walk from the hotel... We are just finishing a two night stay at the Auberge de Bourgogne. The owners, Francis and Vernoique, have web outstanding. We speak no French yet they were very patient with our many questions. The rooms were small but met our needs. The beds were the best so far in Europe and that includes some 5 star beds. The food... More

Very peaceful setting just outside town. We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening. Set menu, but quite pleasant. Free wi-fi in the bedrooms, but you need to ask for a code at reception. Tonnerre is a very pleasant town to visit and the Office de Tourisme is very helpful.
