You will enjoy walking in the alleys, watching the animals. Prye offers a variety of accomodation (guestrooms, cottages). A tremoundous place to discover with the chateau and the monumental marble stables. The experience to sleep in a "vrai" family château !

Stayed one night at Chateau de Prye whist competing in the 2019 Screwball Rally. The Chateau is totally amazing and has been in the family of the Marquis and Marquise du Bourg de Bozas for many years and continues to be run by them. We were showed and had a choice of bedrooms all ornately furnished with period items and personal items from the families history. The grounds are fantastic and a visit to the marble stables is a must, the only one of their kind in France where they had recently completed filming scenes for a forthcoming film. Antoine and Magdalena are charming hosts and looked after us as part of the family. A unique experience!

A small chateau, with a moat. I had a very large two-room suite on the ground floor, with an old-fashioned tub as well as a shower. I saw five deer come across the lawn at dusk (see photo). The hosts prepared a dinner for us, which was very enjoyable. Eating with the other guests was also part of the fun, exchanging stories.

We have spent many months traveling in France over the past 30 years and this was one of the highlights. Yes, it is a for-real chateau. It is not the Marriott. Incredibly gorgeous location, quiet and restful. Our wonderful hosts made dinner for us each of the three nights of our stay. Very easy to drive around the area, especially for a day trip to Nevers. We would love to return someday.

My friend Val and I did a bike ride from Paris to Marseilles and we stopped at the Chateau for one night. We'd had a hard, long day in the saddle and we received such a warm, kind welcome form the owners who treated us like old friends. It was such a privilege to stay here. Its stunning beyond belief and I so want to go back with my wife and family. Thank you for everything!!

We stayed for one night when traveling back to Lyon from the Loire Valley. We just loved the chateau and the owners made it even better. Such nice people! And they speak English. This is a very original, atmospheric chateau which the owners have renovated so guests can stay in the warmer weather. Madame cooked us a lovely dinner and Monsieur served. It really is a homely, family sort of place in addition to the beauty of the building. Highly recommended and we hope to return.
