This was a stopover traveling between Paris to the heart of Burgundy and we chose the place solely based on the restaurant. The main building of the hotel itself is fairly nice, with a nice veranda for cocktails before the dinner seating. We walked up into the old town of the Joigny, nothing really much going on there. There are... More

Just stayed at the La Cote Saint Jacques for one night and didn't had the chance to eat at the restaurant. Therefore this rating is solely based on the hotel. Staff is very friendly and the ground level lobby and bar are nice. Rooms are really outdated and def have seen better days. However the breakfast was very good and... More

The room was as big as an apartment with a large balcony offering a splendid view of the river. Decoration was tasteful. Both the bed and the sofa-bed were really comfortable. It was so kind of them to offer special toiletries, bathrobe, slippers and a small cuddly toy for my six year old son. Best of all was the two... More

We visited La Cote Saint Jacques on the last night of a 7 day honeymoon trip that included time in Paris and in Beaune. After a week of wonderful food and wine, our goal was the Michelin-starred restaurant for an over-the-top end to our trip. We we absolutely delighted by every aspect of both our stay in the hotel and... More

After visiting Joigny several times we finally decided to go for La Cote Saint Jacques! We stayed for 2 days & a night there, as part of a global package, which is always something I am not really comfortable with... For an excellent culinary experience and an above average room this hotel takes some beating but it comes at a price. If you want to try really good 21st Century French Cusine the restaurant is an outstanding experience. However wonderful food coupled with superb at table service does not come cheap. We had a superb dinner, the staff were very attentive and the bedroom had a stunning view of the river. The spa is large with a good sized pool and plenty of towels and the jacuzzi also has a lovely view. Recommend.
