The owners go the extra mile to make the stay perfect. The room and the bathroom are large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is excellent! And the breakfast area has beautiful works of art created by the father of the owner! They have a very friendly dog. It felt like being home.

We stayed here one night, in a room on the top floor, accessible via a rather steep staircase. The room was of average size, with furniture ranging from a rather nice cupboard (although extremely squeaky hinges) to a desk and a chair that seemed to have come straight from a flea market. A special mention goes to the armchair that... More

This hotel was really nice. Our room was a bit old fashioned, but very clean. The bathroom was magnificent. The friendly manager serves breakfast in a lovely garden. The hotel is very close to the world famous vineyards of Montrachet and Meursault. Beaune is quit close for a visit. Good place away from the often jammed Route du Soleil.

We only stayed one night in this hotel ,it is in the centre of the town and very quiet itis quite old fashioned but there was a big bathroom and a big double room with a king size bed and a medium size bed so plenty of room for us to sleep well if it had been too hot they... More

The hotel is all right, very easy to park (opposite the road), rooms are comfortable, free wifi. I recommend eating at Pierre et Jean, such a great restaurant and only 3 minutes walk from the hotel! All in all I would recommend this hotel and would also advise them to invest in hairdryers!

Had a family room as there were three of us. Room had two sections - one with double bed and other with two singles. Lighting was poor and impossible to read in bed as no bedside lights. Hotch potch of furniture. Staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. Car parking is in an area over the street. Lovely town,... More

Very nice hotel. With perfect location, not to far from the highway. Not too big. Nice and clean rooms and a friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice too. We wouldn't mind coming back to this hotel. The garden was perfect :-)

We stayed at La Ferté on the last night of a trip through Burgundy. Arriving hot and bothered after a long walk in high temperatures, we were taken into an attractive garden by our friendly host, where we enjoyed cold drinks and met Fanta, the hotel dog. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. Breakfast, also served... More

We visited for one night on our way to Chamonix with the kids. We vaguely thought the Hotel de La Ferte was a B&B (I know, clue's in the name, it had been a long day) and were stressed about arriving late and perhaps not being allowed in. No worries. We got there three hours after we'd said we would,... More

Hotel de la Ferte is well located on a main street in Chagny, and within easy walking distance of two excellent restaurants, a post office, several brasseries and a bit further to a grocery store. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself is nice - our twin room was "European sized" but not too... More
