#6 of 6 hotels in Chagny
Located in the heart of the vineyards, midway between Beaune, the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, and Chalon-sur-Saone, birthplace of photography, La Musardiere is a small typical Burgundian inn 1860, simple and warm, which was able to adapt without losing its character. You'll stay in a charming setting where you will enjoy the comfort of its rooms and its quiet, shaded park. On summer evenings, you can enjoy a drink on the shaded terrace. Greenway along the center of the channel, the captaincy after 500 meters. Vignobes and Casino Santenay 4 km. Gulf 18 holes at 15 km.

We were initially delighted with this inn. The entrance is charming, leading past some shaded outdoor tables, and our room was old fashioned and more spacious than we had anticipated. This is a self-contained inn. They have private, walled parking, and you can get breakfast and dinner there (for an extra charge each). Plus, it is quick and easy to reach it from the highway. My disappointment arose when I attempted to take a shower. The wall attachment for the hand-held shower head had broken. Thus the only way I could shower was to leave the water running down on my feet, enabling me to keep the soap moistened while I soaped myself, and then to rinse the soap off by holding the shower in my hand. According to my skillful husband, putting up a new shower head (or a wall attachment for the present one) would be easy and inexpensive. Breakfast was not inexpensive, but generous and good. Dinner was very reasonable and delicious!

We chose Chagny and this hotel as we got a good deal from booking.com and also because of its central location to the wine region we wanted to tour. The reception was OK but the owner didn't seem to speak much English and got by with sign language and an understanding of each other. The room was small and fairly basic but the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was a tight squeeze but adequate. The internet connection was fine. The town of Chagny is delightful and a pleasure to walk around. My wife had an accident in the town square when she tripped which required an ambulance to the nearest largest town 20 minutes away.A very helpful restaurant owner and passerbys helped us out in what could have been a difficult situation. There are many pleasant drives around the wine region and other historic towns and places to visit very nearby.

We booked a room for a couple of day in this hostel. The room was rally nice with all the comfort for a good value for money! The owners were very nice and they did welcome us warmly. With an traditional interior design. That was definitively worthy to stay there! Recommend to all. Close to Beaune which is a place to not miss for wine tasting and the nice architecture!

A 5 star resort it is not.. It is a good spot for a stay , if you are on a budget. It may be out dated, but it is clean, with friendy owners and the restaurant is good if you don't want to go into Beaune for the evening. It has a country Inn look as you drive up. I will stay again.

The hotel is located on a quiet road on the outskirts of Chagny, not too far from a main highway. The outside of the hotel has somewhat of a country charm. This was one of the attractions, along with the price (53 euros, advertised on a sign outside) and the ample, secure parking area. You enter the hotel through a shady outdoor patio where guests were eating, drinking and surfing the internet. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was enough space to move around. However, other than the flat-screen TV, it looks like the interior had not been updated in many years. I did not take breakfast at the hotel, which was available for an additional charge.
