Comfortable room, charming staff. I had booked a standard double room which didn't include breakfast. There wasn't anywhere really to go for breakfast, i.e cafes so we decided to have breakfast at the hotel and this was rather expensive at 25 euros each. Looking back at the room booking prices, we should have booked a more expensive room, which would... More

A 3 day break in the Mere Champlain was perfect. We chose a Sea view room with balcony. Being south facing the views across the bay were stunning as well as having a very sunny aspect. The restaurant was very good indeed, friendly and efficient staff and of course shellfish by the bucket load. There were plenty of alternatives if... More

Visited this Hotel for breakfast with friends . Made very welcome, had continental breakfast with English tea. This was most probably the place to go for lunch/dinner as there were Lobsters and Crabs live in glass tanks at the side of the kitchen.

Very nice hotel and restaurant, we had a lovely room that could have slept 4, overall a pleasant stay and reasonable evening meal though my wife's steak was a little overdone. Very adequate breakfast and would stay here again.

We went by chance one night at dinner, unfortunately it was a bit late and we could only have cold platter ... some shrimps and their typical traditional dish:oysters of various sizes. Friendly staff despite the closing time and fresh seafood. Recommended.

The Hotel is well situated on the Esplanade. There are wonderful views out to sea. We were apprehensive about previous reviews stating that the rooms were small and the location noisy. We did not found this to be the case. We travelled with my Mum and her partner, who were in their 80's and not especially mobile. The Hotel was... More

Perfectly adequate hotel in a very touristy strip of shops, bars and restaurants along the Cancale seafront. Probably more focussed on the restaurant business than the hotel end of things, but no complaints. I would venture some rooms very hot in summer and if street-side, very noisy with the windows open. Wifi with 24hr password from reception (will only work... More

I stayed in this hotel with my partner for 4 nights during Easter 2015. We booked a balcony room with a sea view and it turned out that this was a very good decision as there was beautiful sunny weather while we were there and the south-facing balcony was ideal. The room was compact, but very well laid out and... More

The rooms are basic...like Really basic! You get a room that is just big enough to fit a bed and a wardrobe. No cups, no plates, no kettle for tea/coffee, no nothing! It does have an ensuite, which is a positive and then there's the balcony! The view from the balcony is what it's all about! It's a small balcony... More

The location directly on the beach is spectacular as are the sea views from the rooms. However that's where it ends. We booked a sea view balcony room. It is one of the smallest rooms we've ever had in Europe anywhere. The carpets are worn and stained , one nightstand was missing and the bed terrible. Come for the view... More
