As long as you don't expect a 5* experience in a 3* hotel and you're not a fussy eater, this hotel makes a superb overnight after a long day's drive from Calais or elsewhere. Rooms are small but clean and have tea and coffee making kit (I know, in France?!). The set dinner is 4 courses, well cooked and presented...

Our planned itinery had to change o/a a car problem. We needed a hotel "on spec" and this one was perfect. Just off the A75 it is a LOGIS and we knew this would offer a good stanadard. The room was fine - comfortable and clean. The hotel was located just outside the main town but was quiet. Parking was...

The room we had enjoyed a separate small toilet to the shower cubicle. An unusual design bathroom arrangement that was open to the bedroom should really have had some kind of extraction fan. The room steams up when showering. The showers were hot and strong and didn't move when adjusted. The hotel provides face washers, something not seen in a...

The hotel was fine, certainly not the best, but for €59 it was exactly what we expected. Small room, but modern, neat and clean & tidy. The food, as seems always with Logis hotels (which is why we stay there!) was great - beautifully presented and just the right amount. The cheese selection was to die for!

I would sleep on the floor or in the car park just so I could eat in the restaurant at the L'Ander. The food here is SO good. I love the quirky decoration but if you are tall or large make sure you ask for a big bed some of the rooms have small doubles. Breakfast could be better though...

Although slightly dubious after reading some of the reviews for this hotel we decided that, as it was a convenient stop off from Provence to Amboise, we'd give it a try .... BIG mistake! On our arrival the receptionist insisted that we get our bags from the car before giving us the keys to the room, never had that happen...

This may look like a travelodge from the outside, but our experience was hard to beat. We booked dinner, bed & breakfast as we were just staying one night on our way further south, and we would have had a 13 hour drive from home. Monsieur and Madame both welcomed us - I take issue with other reviewers who said...

We stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago when travelling back from the south of France. Our expectations were fairly low due to some adverse comments, however we were pleased to find that we were placed in a modern, well appointed room with a fantastic shower. The chap on reception was extremely welcoming and went out of his...
