This is your standard IBis hotel. Located on the river, the river view rooms offer a great view. Montlucon is a lovely town, the old town is beautiful and the Ibis is very close by. This hotel is great for a short trip to Montlucon or for a stop over on a trip to somewhere else. It's exactly what you... More

This hotel was chosen for an overnight stop in an area new to us. It's in a good position, by the river Cher, which has a large fountain midstream. It ought to be better than it is. The sweet and pleasant oriental receptionist was very helpful to us, and spoke good English. The booking system is very efficient, and I was... More

We were driving down to Murcia, Spain with our dog and hadn't prebooked a hotel. We went onto bookings and selected this hotel while on the move as it was pet friendly. We arrived about 9pm. The staff were extremely helpful, although I don't think spoke english. The room was adequate, clean and had a beautiful view over the river.... More

This would not be a hotel of choice, it is basic with no ambience, the room was small, clean and comfortable. The staff are just going through the motions - doing their job. The restaurant was reasonable until my coffee was served in a paper cup with a plastic stirrer. When I asked for it to be served properly the... More

Arrived late around 11.45pm after booking just an hour previously, checked in fine, got two rooms as there were 4 of us, rooms were connecting as promised, bed was amazingly comfy (I've experienced too many hotel beds but this was awesome) and the bedding was excellent, didn't feel budget at all. The lady on reception was busy cleaning and tidying... More

We were travelling from the Alps to Calais following the Tour de France. The hotel was OK but one night was enough. Limited parking in front of the hotel and the hotel restaurant was less than average (no typical French bistro food here).
