A lovely quiet hotel set in its own beautiful grounds about 45 minutes walk from the old town of Sarlat (you'll need a car). The hotel is very comfortable with every amenity provided (though, being October, we didn't try the open air pool!). The public areas of the hotel are furnished in an interesting and characterful way, with a combination...

Sarlat is an excellent base for touring the Dordogne by car, as it is a reasonably large town with facilities and shops accordingly. The car is essential if you are to find this hotel as, outside the town itself, it is at the end of a winding unmade track - be brave and drive on as it is well worth...

We visited this relais with Riviera Travel, who are known for value and therefore probably selected wisely, if a little too frugally. The group was a large one - over 50 passengers in all. The hotel and grounds are generous, with extensive parkland and a lovely swimming pool. The rooms varied a lot, as you might expect in a character...

We stayed here as part of a tour and could not fault it. The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly Patrick whose English was impeccable. Food and rooms were fine. The hotel has a lovely pool but it is unheated and was therefore a little more chilly than refreshing. To get to the delightful town of Sarlat you need transport...

Jet2 moved the time of flight from 08:40 to 16:30, resulting in our arrival at Relais de Moussidière at 23:30. This meant a rather long day and a minor inconvenience, but this was quickly forgotten after being welcomed with refreshments by Patrick before retiring for the evening. Both he and Veronique proved to be excellent hosts and made us feel...

I would rate this tranquil hotel much higher but the system at the hotel for paying for extras is totally inadequate. The manager tells you how much and you are expected to pay. There are no till receipts or a summary of your bill. This is open to inaccuracy and discrepancies which happened to me. To check ,the Manager was adamant...

Lovely old style hotel with modern facilities but not within close walking distance of the town. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has a nice pool area within a woodland area. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have it's own kitchen but uses external caterers to supply pre-ordered evening meals to visiting tourist groups. Food is good and buffet breakfast is...

The Relais de Moussidiere is a lovely, friendly, welcoming hotel in a sympathetically converted old farmhouse/manor house, retaining much of its original rustic charm, but with all of the modern conveniences. Every member of staff was lovely, spoke excellent English and had the grace not to laugh at our 'O' Level French! The interior of the hotel is beautifully decorated, with...

We were here as part of a tour group. Clean and tidy. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Swimming pool and grounds to walk in. Everything we needed (except for a few draws! ). A short walk takes you into Sarlat.
