We stayed at the LeMoulin for one night and had purchased a gourmet package. At the entrance you are greeted by the most awful red plaid rug. Think Scotland. We had booked a room with it's own rooftop terrace overlooking the falls. Room #7 in the old section of the hotel. The room was very small with the strangest burnt... More

2nd visit here as we got married in a local Chateau earlier in the year. We both love this hotel. Small, yet super attentive service. Beautifully decorated rooms and common areas and their restaurant and wine list is absolutely stunning. I could not give this hotel and restaurant any higher recommendation! You'll love it!

We stayed here with out two teenage daughters for one night. We were lucky to have an upgrade to a suite which was a lovely treat. The rooms was very comfortable, but we did not spend a huge amount of time in them. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was closed on a Tuesday evening, so we ate... More

For the price it's a bit steep if I'm honest, lovely setting but it was a bit disappointing. My room was small and definitely didn't feel like i was in any kind of luxury. The breakfast was quite literally one of the worst value meals I have ever had. €17 you get nothing but a nice view. I could of... More

We came here 25 years ago for our honeymoon and when we arrived, it was as wonderful as it was then. It's been updated but the charm, the service, the amenities and property was so calming and serene. This place--the hotel, the small town, the grounds and the restaurant--not to mention the room--were all as we remembered, which is why... More

We have stayed at this hotel three times, 30 years ago, 10 years ago and just two weeks ago. It continues to be stellar, which is quite a feat! Staff is friendly and multi-lingual, rooms are large by European standards, turn-down service was lovely (we stayed in many 4-5 star hotels in France in the past 3 weeks and this... More

Brantome is a beatutiful, elegant Renaissance town in the Green Périgord and the Moulin de l'Abbaye (the abbaye's water mill) does it justice. It's simply gorgeous. We were put in a wonderful room, in the abbott's house across the street with excellent facilities, including a bar fridge, bath tub and AC. The settung for the redtaurant along theriver is beautiful... More

Be warned, this hotel has three "houses", and you may not end up in the one in the picture. The other two, which we visited, were also nice, but as they are very old building, had a damp smell and were not that pleasant. We stayed one night in the house behind (damp and mould) and one night in the... More
