Standard business, it is not advisable to gourmets. It is hardly to understand how they got a rating of two forks by michelin red guide. Rooms are small and clean, nothing out of the ordinary. The Restaurant does not provide proffesional service according to this level of rating: Wine is not delivered with the appropriate course, the meet ( Beef...

Convenient for exploring the region and excursions to Mulhouse. Rooms clean but standard with old windows. Huge parking space. Food and especially wine prices are exceptional expensive although the wine region is around. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the historic (but rather industrial) town of Guebwiller, near a large pond, and a short drive from the starting point for great hikes. The restaurant is great, but you should reserve in advance. The rooms are practical, the decor strains to be funky.

Thanks to a broad-hook lens, a camera can indeed give what is merely a pond the allure of a 'lac' but in this case that is a gros exaggeration, hence forget about a quiet walk around a lake after a long drive because in 3 minutes one has seen all of the pond. The rooms are OK for a one-night...

The receptionist was very friendly and the rooms were clean and the outside of the hotel was lovely as well, ie by a tiny lake. If you have the option to book rooms excluding breakfast, I would do so, as the bread/pastries were good, but the cheeses and the scrambled eggs were so-so at best. When we arrived, the restaurant...

The hotel is situated in a pleasant, quiet area next to a large pond with ducks and swans on it. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful (especially Jerome) and provided us with great advice on what to visit. They even offered to store our cheese in their fridge and wine in the Cellar. The restaurant is very good...

We arrived early in the day and got a warm reception with a blocking in the restaurant even it was booked out because our room where not ready. The added a next new hotel building with a nice bar and launch to it across the little private road next to the pond. Dinner menu was ok. The rooms are comfortable...

We really enjoyed the lakeside setting. Aside from the aggressive swan... It was very peaceful :) You can take a short walk up the hill from the hotel and see some ruins of a defence tower. The rooms were nice, but ultra-modern and very colourful. Dinner downstairs was pricey but delicious.

Hotel du Lac is located near a pond, not a lake so don't get mistaken by the name. It was good to stay there for 2 nights but I wouldn't stay any longer. The room is really small and gets really warm. Basic bathroom with toilet next to the shower. Decent TV with a wide range of channels (in French)....

What I wanted: A moderate-price hotel with in-room free WiFi, an elevator (back problems), free open parking, and convenient location. What I got: A pleasant moderate price hotel with good rooms, a semi-bucolic setting, and easy parking, but off-season levels of service. The in-room WiFi didn't work, and I had to schlep my gear to the lobby of an adjacent...
