The hotel has an old world charm about it. The rooms are small but come with flat screen tv, free wifi amd plenty of hot water from the shower. Getting luggage to the hotel involves lots of stairs and cobbled paths in pedestrian only streets. The hotel is located around the corner from pedestrain shopping streets and a couple of...

Charming in a old world style, the Magnolia felt a bit like an upscale bed and breakfast, except for having the restaurant. Bit of a struggle to get there with the luggage, since it’s on a hidden pedestrian street and there seemed to be no easy way to drive there, but they were very helpful at the desk with information...

The idea of Walking through the restaurant to get to the hotel did not bother me. After all, it adds security to the hotel. My room was on the street which was alright; early in the season? The room is cute and had just been totally refreshed; it had everything we needed with a specially effective heating. We bought stuff...

This quaint 3 star hotel with a pleasant courtyard is hidden in an alley walkway. It is very near the harbor without views and we walked to all the local attractionsThe rooms vary in size, we had a larger room over the courtyard that was very pleasant. They offer hair dryers/soap. A cold breakfast is served in the courtyard for...

We only stayed for one night, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Since the keys are heavy, one is encouraged to leave them "on" the reception desk. Therefore, the honor system is valued. The restaurant below the hotel is excellent and the food is delicious. It's family owned and operated, so personal attention to details is cherished. We would...

I think my expectations might have been too high based on some of the other reviews. The best part of the hotel is the lovely young woman that seems to be managing the property, working in the restaurant and greeting guests and generally being very kind and helpful. The rooms themselves were quite tired even through we'd requested one of...

Just at the end of high season arrived by car, romantic, dogfriendly, lovely, great location. Everything around the corner. Nice rooms, the restaurant in their garden a bit overrated but the famous magnolia is there.... Entrance through the restaurant. Parking is Hell !! Make sure you park your car near the beach. 10 min walk from the hotel. And drop...

This is my second time staying at Le Magnolia, AND my second review for it (see September 1, 2009). It's been 5 years, and I love this hotel even more now than I did then. This is in part because it feels so much more like a home than it does a hotel. It's a converted mansion, so its design...

Overall great value for the location. The hotel is located in a pedestrian street that is in the heart of calvi and a parallel street from the marina. Take note that you will have to drag your luggage through the streets to get to the hotel. There is a Parking just a couple of streets behind the hotel that takes...

“Even though the room descriptions say "sea view" or "garden view" -- the window in our room was quite tiny and only had a view if you were standing directly in front of it. The garden view looked down on the restaurant. All rooms would be very noisy if the windows were open as all are on the street.”
