It was not an easy place to get to, mostly because we got to the Kinsarvik ferry just as it was finishing up for the day, so we decided to head down a little bit and drive up that way...but no, the road was closed. We almost gave up to stay somewhere else, but persevered in pouring rain to find...

The hotel looks great and is a beautiful historic picture both inside and outside, with a view right out to the fjord and ferries. We were put in the annex, and it´s okay, clean modern and comfortable but it´s a bit dissappointing when you see it. And the view out the bedroom window to a veranda and field that needs...

Location: Right in front of the ferry stop. Within walking distance to the Folk Museum. Room: We stayed in the annex at the back of the main hotel. It was spacious and clean. Quiet too. Parking: Parking available within the vicinity for guests. Dining room: We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Buffet options for both were plenty. Food...

We stayed in 12 Norwegian hotels during our trip. This is the only one that I would not want to stay in again. We were given Room 19 on the third floor. It was rather plain and had the smallest bathroom of our trip. It was missing one of the blackout curtains and one window did not shut. There is...

Met another family there. Adults stayed in main hotel and kids in rooms in a back apartment. Other than the fact that they didn't tell us we'd have to walk 5 min outside to get between rooms this hotel was a gem. It's right on water across from the ferry. The dining room is decorated with old Norwegian. Staff was...

Spent a night as part of a Trolltunga three day mini break. Sure it's interesting to stay in a historic hotel, but it seems "Historic Hotels" is an excuse for not updating the standard. The three course meal was OK, but nothing else. The starter consisted of a microscopic salad with an even more microscopic salmon/potato cake wrap. You are...

Spent a long week-end here with friends and had a fantastic time. Upon entering the hotel one immediately feels the history in the walls; Beautiful vintage furniture, traditional curtains, a view to die for, charming rooms with comfortable beds, a fantastic breakfast and always smiling and helpful people. Hope to be back soon. A must see hotel for foreign visitors...

Stayed one night at this historic hotel. It is very nice - I would say exotic. The rooms are nice and clean, and food is also good. Service is good, the staff are nice and friendly. The surrounding nature is breathtaking. Highly recommended to visit this hotel.

Really charming & well-run with oodles of history to its name, this was a lovely quaint place run by a friendly, hospitable family. The rooms aren't luxurious but have all the mod cons for a comfy stay including a comfortable bed and good hot water supplies in the bathroom. Breakfast was home-style Norwegian and set you up for the day....

I've stayed here a few times when visiting a customer in Utne. The rooms are kept in its original style with modern bathrooms. Varies in sizes. The beds are great. The food served here both for breakfast and dinner are great. Closer to "home made" than in a large hotel. The selections of dinner are usually the ability to choose...
