The hotel was really weird. At first it seemed nice and the staff was friendly. The rooms on the other hand felt really old and a bit dirty. The walls needs paint, the lamps were broken and the shower was not fresh. It felt like they hadn't built it properly, like they'd just built the hotel really quick and forgotten...

A really beautiful place! The website said it was adult only, or we would have had our whole family staying there! The people at the desk said they allow kids, so double check before you go somewhere else. It's right across from the zoo and far enough away from the airport to avoid the downtown traffic. Really great location especially...

Read the history of the hotel before going. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel with a traditional Italian design. We were only passing through for a night during a slow part of the year, but I would have loved to stay for an entire week. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the owners were present as well to offer...

I visited the hotel, specifically the restaurant (Foccaccia di Martino). Good food and very nice environment for a sunday's lunch. Personnel are very kind and they will make you feel special. The only grey point I would mention is the cleaness of the restrooms, that has improvement opportunities.

This place was a gem in the middle of the city. We had booked two rooms -one for us and one for the kids. I was impressed with the very clean rooms and facilities, the pool and buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay here again as it is a hidden gem!

I stayed at this hotel for a full week and I was very happy with the accommodations. The hotel is a little dated; but everything was in good working condition. As you enter the room you'll notice a beautiful handcrafted door, a different design on each room. The hotel grounds are well kept and the pool area is very nice....

Hotel Martino Spa & Resort Challenges: 1. Animals in the crawl space (all night long - no sleep) 2. No shower pressure 3. Refrigerator had problems 4. Ants in the room 5. Services (exception of the refrigerator) were pretty good and the grounds were okay 6. Trip insurance was USELESS!!!

Dear Melissa, leaving a side your commentary about the building, that I respect anyway, specially because I was working at the Hotel with the builder and original owner from the opening in 1998 untill he left us in 2002. Anyway if can tell us in which room you stayed, the dates you were here and if you have asked to...

This hotel is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the San Jose area. The property is beautiful with a variety of flowers, plants, and birds. We even saw a few iguanas! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the pool, as well.
