Visited this pub midweek, it was quite with plenty of room. Situated in a quiet village and only found by using trip advisor so thank you for all who have put reviews on. The pub was clean and bar staff were excellent. The meal itself was of an excellent quality and ample size. The only disappointment for us the specials...

We visited tonight saturday 27th december as staying at hellidon lakes hotel n didn't fancy the hotel food menu Pub is lovely traditional country pub, open log fires and friendly people and staff Be warned portion sizes are large I had 12 oz rib eye steak and was well seasoned and extremely tender, basically superb cut of meat and cooked to...

Four of us ate here on a Monday night in October and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had between us a rib-eye steak, chicken tika curry, seared salmon steak and shredded chilli beef. Lovely beer and puds added to a reasonably priced meal, with very good, plasant staff. Thanks

We visited the red lion on a Saturday night without booking and were able to get a table as it seemed rather quite. We had a special squid and prawn starter which was gorgeous, the other starter was the garlic mushrooms which were also very good. We both had the 8 oz rump for main and once again were impressed...

Recently stayed at The Red Lion B And B in Hellidon Daventry for one night, as It was near to the Hellidon Lake Spa Hotel for a wedding reception. The charge for one night for one person was £40, so reasonable. The pub had a traditional interior with low wooden beams and old style pub decor. The Pub is very...

I'm afraid I only ate here but I can't seem to find an option to review the restaurant. There was a quite a large party of us, and we landed on one of their "Ladies Nights" so service was a bit slow, but the lovely waiting staff did apologise for the delay, and also the fact that they kept running...

Just returned from Ladies Night at this restaurant where a special menu is offered - 2 courses for around £15 or 3 incl. a glass of wine or fizz for just over £19. Wow! What can I say - just a truly wonderful evening, the food was stunning (definitely recommend the box baked Camembert for starter and freshly baked doughnuts...

My family and I have just returned from our fourth visit for Sunday Lunch. Does that not say everything. It is excellent and very good value. See you there next Sunday...but book because it is not mass produced there is only a certain number available.

After picking up a late booking locally for New Year's Eve, we then faced the problem of where to find something to eat. We didn't want the buffet and disco, or the hog roast and karaoke and certainly not the five course gala dinner; we simply wanted a well cooked and tasty pub meal and that is exactly what we...

“Not a good B and B from my one visit. My advice is to find a private homeowner who takes more care of guests and cleans there home better usually.”
