This restaurant had a great history and people used to come here from Warsaw especially for the "fresh" fish. It used to be on the main road before the road reconstruction. Now its a bit off the beaten track. When I went there with my wife for a late lunch the place was virtually empty. We walked around the outside first which is very attractive with outside seating and a place for grilling and small receptions. We sat down indoors at the first empty table because there was no waitress to help. We waited about 10 minutes before anybody appeared. The waitress smiled but did not apologise for keeping us waiting. We chose some fresh water fish. We waited about 15 minutes for it to arrive. I have to say it was very average in taste and presentation. Both my wife and I were disappointed. I hope that this was just bad timing on our part and that the restaurant is worth another visit. I will try again in the future and write another review.

The hotel was to my mind a budget hotel and definitely seems a side thought to the restaurant which seems to be the main business. Hotel is very small ~ 20 rooms. Very basic rooms but extremely clean. No amenities in the bathroom and you need to get a hairdryer from reception. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help and accommodate our needs. They don't speak English so you either need a Polish speaking friend or be good at communicating without words! Huge lovely garden with outdoor dining and loungers; very quiet but easy to find. Food was good although not spectacular. It rained quite a bit whilst we were there and the mosquitoes were out in force - take repellent spray if you are loved by the mosquitoes! We had a bonfire on the last evening we were there set-up by the hotel; they provided sausages and skewers to cook over the fire. All in all - a nice place but not luxury!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel; front side is quite noisy from the main road

This place used to be a legend. Now it's away from the main route due to delivery of ring-road, which makes it quiet but certainly reduces the audience. It's a shame, because the place (fish restaurant) is cosy, and serves great tench (from which the name of the place comes). Try the one baked in sour cream, it's really something you can't try anywhere else. The menu's short which always pleases me, the service attentive, wine affordable and atmosphere cozy. Go for it!
