Location – It’s located close to the water but otherwise most people will be stopping here for the night via car or bus so location wise this is ok. Room –This is a huge hotel with many rooms and looks to service mainly tour groups travelling on buses (or cruise passengers). As a result, rooms can be located a long way from the main reception (as ours was). Hotel and our room is dated, but otherwise clean and good sized. Looks like all of the money was spent on refurbishing the reception / dining areas and not all the rooms. No coffee/tea/kettle in the rooms. Breakfast – Good variety of cold and hot breakfast. Service – Ok. Parking – free. Other – Coin/token operated washing machine and dryer available. There is only 1 in the whole hotel so first come first serve. If you’re travelling around Norway you’ll find it’s impossible to find laundry facilities so to find one in the hotel is a great relief! Stay again? There are not many hotels in this region given most people are passing through. I would be interested to explore whether for the price there would be a more modern hotel in this area or neighbouring towns. That said, our stay here was perfectly adequate.

Hotel is located across from the lake and offers a great view. Nice walking path along the lake for a stroll. Rooms were comfortable. Food in the restaurant was tasty and offered a variety of items. Breakfast buffet was also very good and plentiful. There is a nice souvenir shop across the road within walking distance.

Great location, super breakfast. The views from the hotelroom was breathtaking. This hotel is close to the sea and with the mountains in the background, is like the perfect picture of nature in Norway!

The location of the hotel is mind blowing. Just step out of the hotel and there is Jølster lake with mountains and cloud background. You look to right and left you have mountains with waterfalls. Most picturesque location. The rooms are comfortable, clean except that you have to walk long distance from the reception. They have a good swimming pool. The reception, foyer and dining halls are spacious. The buffet breakfast is very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

First off, this hotel boasts a stunning view of the lake. Even if you don't have a room that's lake-facing, just walk out and take it all in. You won't regret it. The views are amazing. My friend and I got a double room here, thanks to the error of our travel agent. But when we requested to get a twin, the staff were accommodating and provided one to us right away, though I suspect it's a room which would be no one's first choice. And that is because the room is directly facing the lift, once you come out of it. Since we're the ones who had requested for the last-minute change, I wasn't going to complain about that little detail anyway. Thankfully though, that did not make the corridor outside our room very noisy at all. In fact, after having changed our rooms, we got a much more spacious room instead, which comes with a small sitting area and a view of the pool below us. The only thing that bothered me was how much trouble we seemed to have to go through, just to get from the reception to the room. First, you had to take the lift up one level from the reception. Then you had to walk past all the rooms in this block, through the corridor, until you come to this other opening, which leads to a linkway between the 2 blocks. And then when you get to your block, you gotta take another lift up again to your room. It's a very long way to go. The fact that I have to take 2 separate lifts is what makes the journey troublesome. Is there a way to improve on this, so that we just need to take the lift once? Why is the linkway not on the ground floor? Anyway, other than that, we were very pleased with our room. Surroundings, as I mentioned, are beautiful, and there are supermarkets and souvenir shops within walking distance too.
