The min we got here I felt uncomfortable. The reception looks run down and dirty. There are spider webs in the restaurant. On the way to our room it's dark and it felt like I was in that movie "hostel" but when we got to the room "wow" everything beautiful with the the most amazing bath that leaks and has no hot water... this place is crap there is no other words...
The staff is really the good thing. Always take care of us, they are all extremely polite, helpful and caring. The hotel was really beautiful when it opened, unfortunately today it is really needs maintenance. I do not recommend it for young children, some places can be dangerous. The hotel is very far from the island of Phuket, so it is good to relax in a quiet place but not recommended for tourists wishing to discover the island, the taxi is too expensive. The hotel offers a lot of free activities. The food is average, some dishes are very good others very bad ... More generally, I still had a good time.
Using a long weekend to get away with the family, we decided to book this place to escape the crowd of Phuket. In this regard, it was certainly a success as upon check in we were told there were only 2 other rooms booked for these 2 nights. A mere 5% occupancy ! First impression is a messy lobby and unorganized front office. Despite the large number of vacant rooms we were told we have to wait 20mns to get the rooms. After insisting we could get in straight away. Rooms are quite well appointed with good seaviews. One of them had a broken AC which we asked to fix. They were very fast to come and look at it and told us it was fixed. It never was and we had to ask extra fans to get a cool room. The room which we were given 101 was supposed to be their best and to give you a private pool but basically they cage you in there and you cannot access the rest of the resort. Shame. Pool and beach were empty. Nothing was really maintained and obviously nothing prepared for any guests. There are quite a number of staff but nobody to coordinate them. Some took some good initiative to propose us some drinks by the pool. Meals were ok and people, despite their obvious lack of training tried. Some too hard: one of them saw my daughter liking a piece of silverware during dinner and upon departure came to ask us to "put it in your bag quick" the stolen piece (which we refused of course). We felt so sad in this place that we decided to early check in. Management showed up only to make sure we pay the right full amount. A real potential hotel on a stunning beach but mismanaged !…
The hotel is definitely amazing and beautiful, perfect place for vacations. The staff is really nice and the breakfast that is included offers great international and local options. The fee that we paid (which included breakfast) allowed us to rent bicycles for free, as well as kayak, gym, and tours on bikes to certain temples. Talking about the room amenities, we have to say the bed was amazing, really contable, and the bathtub is gorgeous, as well as the shower. Our room was on the first floor and we had access to our private jacuzzi’s pool, which is connected to the main pool. Regarding the local, it is important to notice the hotel is not in Phuket, it is located in a province, between Krabi and Phuket, which gives you the chance to visit the national park of Phang Nga, where the James Bond Islands are accesible. We recommend to go there by car, since there are not near bus stations and taking taxis could be pretty expensive. …
We spent 10 days in the pool suite, which was great! The hotel is a hideaway meaning there is no shopping or cities nearby, which for us was great! The beach is 20 meters from the hotel and accessed by a private bridge. In our room we had a private pool which was well worth the extra money. I would rate this hotel 4/5 id it wasnt for the fact of the housekeeping. We had housekeeping all days which cleaned the room, two days without us being in the room (as we had other activities). These two days several clothes were stolen from my wifes luggage. Meaning someone in the housekeeping staff searched therough her suitcase and took clothes which they liked. This is for us unacceptable, and this is the fact alone which make us not recommend this to other travelers or us to return to this place. When we mentioned this to the reception staff they just said ”sorry” but took no action. The management didnt even mention it upon check-out! If you are planning to stay here, make sure to lock your suitcase when you leave your room.…
This resort really has potential...It is a shame that management is poor. Things could go south easily at this resort especially when you wanted something that had to do with front desk. The only service that could cheer us up was F&B. We have to commend F&B manager, New, King, DaDa and all restaurant staff who went out of their ways to make our meals enjoyable. For those who plan to visit this property, be careful of staircases in the pool. They are really sharp. Our feet and knees were bleeding. All in all, we had ups and downs at this resort but we managed to pull the entire trip back together and had good time.
Highly disappointing. Hotel bills itself as 5 star beach resort and it isn't. Upon arrival we were rushed through an outdoor dirty dark hallway to our room. Room was spacious, but worn and slightly dirty, uncomfortable furniture, garish design, and bathroom lacked privacy. Similarly, the beach is disappointing, separated from the hotel by a canal. Same for the food, ok, but not for an establishment that bills itself as 5 star resort. Staff were hit or miss, with some eager to help and some treated us like a nuisance. Oh, and for some reason the hotel doesn't believe in hand soap. We requested hand soap for bathroom in our room and was told that there was none in the hotel - we ended up washing our hands with shampoo. If there was any positive it was the staff member in restaurant who went out of his way to ensure we received customized food we requested, and a driver who was genuinely helpful, friendly, and polite.…
We booked at le coral at the end of a 17 day stay in Thailand. We wish we hadn’t bothered and had gone straight home. We had requested an early check in through book in dot com and told we eligible for it. We never got it and had to sit and wait around an un air-conditioned room after traveling. Not an ideal start. The room itself was fairly decent although the private access swimming pool that we had upgraded too was in a poor state. There was dirt and grime in it and several tiles were missing. With regards to the facilities, they are starting to look old and grubby. I would say that management need to spend some cash on a refurbishment as it is starting to look rundown compared to other hotels we stayed in in the area. Some of the staff were hit and miss. Patrick on the front desk is very helpful. Others couldn’t speak English very well so be aware of possible communication issues. The breakfast was atrocious. The food on offer was very limited, poor quality, not replenished often and covered in flies. We had requested a late check out via our internet booking website, which we were granted due to being genius customers. As with the check in, this was not honoured. After several frustrating conversations we manage to secure a room to shower in at 3pm before leaving. We were giving a spa room which was very small and hot with a lack of basic equipment such as hair conditioner, shampoo, mirrors. It didn’t bother me but my wife was furious. The hairdryer she had been promised didn’t turn up either so i was sent down to get it. We got there in the end, but it shouldn’t be a battle like what we had to endure. Other annoyances were the fact that when we got there we had a couple of sun loungers available to use. However, after day 1 they were removed so that they could set up for a New Year’s Eve party. All in all, the hotel has potential but management need to make massive improvements fast. We would not stop here again.…
We originally booked this location with a scoopon and added an extra 3 nights. Overall the accomodation was excellent, good location if you are looking for a bit of R&R. The service was mostly great, but at the end of our scoopon the front desk called us asking us to leave our room - despite numerous confirmations via email in regards to our extra nights during our stay. The wifi was then turned off- which was rectified after we called. Also our card swipe access was turned off late that afternoon- all a genuine misunderstanding but the constant emails and phone calls confirming the extra nights during our stay should have covered this. However aside from the front desk the staff were fabulous- they organised a birthday cake for my partner and made us feel very much at home. The cooking class is a must for anyone who fancies themselves a bit of a cook. A big thank you to Beer and New who looked after us so well. …
This hotel is tucked off the main Phuket island, 30 mins from the airport. A staff are polite and helpful. Food is reasonable in price and selection. We stayed there to avoid the tourist traps and found the place to be a good location to relax.
