Nestled in a serene setting, Santhiya Phuket Natai Resort & Spa garners high marks for its immaculate environment, including pristine pools and beaches. Visitors are charmed by the tranquil, traditionally adorned rooms with their private, nature-imbued retreats. While the service is generally applauded for its attentiveness, there have been slight organizational quibbles. The resort's amenities are celebrated for their luxury and spaciousness, contributing to an overall atmosphere of comfort. The location offers a peaceful haven, yet remains within reach of Phuket's attractions. Opinions on value diverge, with some questioning the breakfast quality amidst its luxury claims.

Briefly this is a beautiful place to stay that makes you feel like a VIP. Just book it.

For more information.

Firstly the staff here are absolutely brilliant. They are attentive, professional and courteous. Mr Kent at breakfast was excellent. He always had an iced coffee and chocolate ready at breakfast. He helped us out with our 3yo and ensured we were well catered for. Mr Chu was always delivering our food and drinks whether it be in the room, on the beach or at dinner. The garden staff ensure the beach and garden was looking marvellous. The cleaning staff made our place immaculate every day. The security staff helping with crossing th road was a nice touch. The staff were excellent.

The carved wood of all the buildings was unbelievably beautiful and must have taken a significant time to make. The rooms really felt comfortable. The wood made it very welcoming and cosy. For those not used to the tropical temperatures and humidity the two air conditioning units were brilliant in the rooms. The private pool was brilliant and in fact a bit cooler than the main pool. That being said the main pool and kids pool were stunning and right on the beach so it was lovely to hear the waves whil swimming. The beds near the main pool were great too and protected from the sun and enabled cocktails to be delivered even on the beach. There is an awesome kids club room that had heaps of great toys in it to entertain the kids.

Anyone complaining about the rooms having mosquitoes and lizards in it obviously never closed the doors because we had nothing getting in to our room.

The location is not as isolated as I initially thought which is great because you can still get involved in much of what phuket has to offer and more. We took a 30 min taxi to do james bond island for much cheaper and better than the usual phuket tours.

Finally the resturant was brilliant. There was a mix of western and local foods. If you needed a break from the local food the burger were great. But the Thai dishes were delicious so I reccomend it. They are on the spicy side but that's good for us. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant. The variety was large. Really enjoyed our breakfast time.

All in all we will aim to be back and you should go too!

We had a wonderful stay for a week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The place has a lot of positives, along with a few possible improvement areas.
What was great?
Location: The place is away from the hustle and bustle of Thailand/Phuket. We had a quiet stay. The hotel has a private beach or a beach not visited by others. We only found the hotel's guests at the beach. It's a treat to watch the sunsets every evening, from the well laid out beach beds along the beach.
Ambience: The rooms are nestled in nature, with thick vegetation everywhere. The rooms are furnished in wood, with intricate and beautiful carvings. It gives the feeling of staying in a traditional Thai home.
Room amenities: We stayed in a deluxe pool villa on the upper floor. The private pool, the bath tub, the deck, are great amenities to have. Inside the room, the bed was large and accommodating, with comfortable mattresses and pillows. The 2 ACs cool down the large room effectively. They offer a generous 3 liters of bottled water every day. The hair dryer was powerful with multiple settings for speed and warmth. The rain shower in the bathroom was nice too. The toiletries were always stocked up and were of good quality. They kept robes, slippers, and even a torch in the room (for use in nights to get to and from the restaurant).
Wifi: Wifi was strong enough both in the room and the common areas. I was able to get some work done during our stay.
Restaurant: The staff are nice and welcoming. The food and the spread are decent. There are a few options for vegetarians. The outdoor seating by the common pool, overlooking the sea takes the cake. It's pleasant to have meals watching the beautiful common pool and the sea beyond. The breakfast was hearty and had a nice spread with a lot of options.
Staff: The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful for the most part. Service at the restaurant and housekeeping are efficient and get the job done.

What could have been better?
Communication and staff friendliness: While they did arrange for the airport transfer to and from the resort, the responses were curt and to the point. This discouraged us from discussing further to see if anything special could be planned or arranged for our 10th wedding anniversary.
The option of a dinner by the beach had non vegetarian options, but, when we enquired about it on the arrival day, to understand if there are any customization options, again communication barriers led us to drop the discussion and not pursue it further.
Plates for lunches and dinners: While they usually offer side plates, it'll be great to accompany dishes with full sized plates for lunches and dinners. Sometimes, salt and pepper are missing from the tables. Of course, they bring it immediately, if requested, which is nice.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we had a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the Santhiya Phuket Natai Hotel. The room with its own pool offered us maximum privacy and a luxurious retreat. The staff, especially Jesse Parken (Palm) and PJ, fulfilled our wishes perfectly and made our stay unforgettable. Their attentive care exceeded our expectations.

The pool area is fantastic and offers a quiet oasis. The beach, comparable to the Maldives, is one of the most beautiful we have ever experienced - clean, with fine sand and often almost deserted. The food and drink in the hotel are also outstanding.

In the area we recommend the small local restaurant Wooden Bridge and Tim's Cafe, especially for lunch. If you don't feel like doing your laundry at the hotel, Mama Laundry is the perfect solution - they pick up and deliver the laundry the same day, freshly washed and ironed, at a fair price of 120 baht per kilogram.

A big thank you to all the staff for this wonderful stay. We are already looking forward to the next time!

LG,
Anamaria and Marc

We stayed at this resort in July 2024 having booked a pool villa for four nights. The resort advertises as a five star luxury resort but I would have to say on balance it is a three star at best. The hotel from the exterior looks impressive as it is exclusively made of wood, much of which has been carved in a traditional Thai style, and this theme runs throughout the resort. Our room was spacious with a large bed and decorated with carved wooden facades. The room was well equipped, although the TV was attached to a wall in a location that made it inconvenient to watch, certainly could not be seen whilst laying on the bed. The private pool accompanying the room was very clean and there was also sunbeds in this private courtyard. What we found disappointing about this resort was the fact that many of the facilities were poorly supervised and under utilized. The large reception, whilst looking grand on the outside, inside lacked any atmosphere or sense of arrival. There is only one restaurant at the resort, which in terms of food quality and range was two star at best. Breakfast was included in our booking but it was a tragic affair and probably one of the worst breakfast buffets I have encountered, particularly when compared to previous experiences at the Marriott and Anantara down the road. Sadly the resort is in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing in terms of restaurant alternatives within walking distance. The pool is quite nice and large with shaded cabanas arranged around it. Like everything at the resort it lacked supervision, there was no lifeguard or pool assistant to help with towels and loungers as you find in most resorts. At the lower level from the pool was the beach, and in this area it looked like there used to be a beach bar but it has fallen into disuse and disrepair, a completely under utilized resource. The gym was quite well equipped, but again lacked supervision and the occasions I used it was very hot as the a/c is not run continuously, and by the time the room had cooled my workout was over. We did use the spa at the resort and found this to be quite good value. For 1000 THB we got a one hour massage which was good, although the spa itself lacks some of the ambience and atmosphere found in more expensive locations. Overall the staff were very friendly and accommodating, but we did find some of the waiters in the restaurant seemed to not really know what was going on.
In summary (out of five stars)
Room ****
Facilities **
Restaurant *
Location **
Service ***
Probably a good resort to go to on a budget, as we thought it was reasonable value for the money we paid, but I could not help drawing comparisons with some of the other resorts we have stayed at in Phuket, such as the Marriott and Anantara at Mai Khao beach. These resorts have higher price tags but frankly the service and facilities are on another level, and that’s where we will be heading on our next trip to Phuket.

An exceptionally well run beach resort.
I spent 22 nights here, 20 minutes from Phuket airport, right in the Thai countryside meters from a fabulous beach. A quiet location away from the 24 hour excitement further down the coast.
All the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful from the security guards on the gates to the recreation staff on the beach.
Not your usual concrete, glass and steel construction, this is pure Thai, all crafted wood in a spectacular natural garden setting, a senses overload.
The food was excellent from the buffet breakfast through to “ On the Beach” restaurant all full of Thai flavors suitable to all tastes and strength.
The rooms are huge, all come with their own pool set in secluded garden patios, and with 5 star amenities.
Jimmy has excellent staff under his leadership with a special mention to Bum who kept my room well serviced and stocked, also Pim in the beach restaurant, and not forgetting the security guards who always greeted me with a smile and salute each morning and afternoon.
To conclude probably the best beachfront resort I’ve stayed at.

A unique Thai national style hotel. The hotel has two parts, one is the part with the rooms and the other is the part with the restaurant, pool and beach. There is a road between them, but this is not a problem as there is very little traffic. The part with rooms is like a Thai village with private houses and gardens. Our room (Deluxe Pool Suite) had a large terrace with its own private pool and was located in such a way that it was hidden from prying eyes, so you could sunbathe and swim naked. The room had a king size bed and also a kitchenette. Everything was decorated in Thai national style.
The beach had a very good large pool and a good beach with beach chairs.
Delightful washing products.
Very good slippers and bathrobe.
OK internet
This whole district is very quiet and clean, with individual Premium class hotels and villas, which are generally not located right next to each other. The beautiful and clean beach is several kilometers long and there are only a few people there. If you want peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. We stayed only one night, I personally would probably get a little bored there after a few days, but I definitely recommend a couple of days' visit to those who otherwise like life to boil around them.

The hotel seemed quite empty, but there were no more free times in the massage parlor.
Everything is already a bit worn, but in this case it didn't bother at all, rather it even added authenticity to this national interior.
Breakfast was served in a nice place by the pool, but it had a rather modest selection, but for that it was the only hotel (of 5 hotels) on the trip that offered good coffee at breakfast, freshly ground from beans.
Parking is a few hundred meters away, and if you wish, you can be taken and brought there by the hotel's car.

We stayed here for three nights in July 2023. The resort is simply magnificent from an architectural point of view. There is splendid traditional woodwork everywhere and each villa is beautifully designed and well maintained and it guarantees absolute privacy. We chose a deluxe villa which had an individual pool with jacuzzi, an outdoor bathtub and lounge chairs, all perfectly integrated in the lush tropical vegetation.
The only weak points of the room were that the bathroom was too dimly lit and the water pressure of the toilet hose and in the bathtub was too low. But apart from that, the room was really superb.
The main pool area is wide and very beautiful and with very original boat shaped lounge chairs anchored to the floor of the pool. There is also a shallow lower pool closer to the seashore.
Overall Santhiya is a perfect romantic getaway.
The beach front buildings constitute the spa, the main restaurant, the reception building, the breakfast area, and another eating area: they are all built in the same beautifully elaborated teakwood.
The area where the villas are is separated from the beach front buildings by a quiet road.
The beach is very nice but unfortunately we visited during monsoon season and the sea was too rough to swim. But the beach is indeed desert and attractive in its wilderness.
The staff were very nice and attentive, although we found it a bit strange that they explicitly asked us to write a review of the restaurant just before checking out, taking also a picture of us and of the review. I think this procedure could be reviewed.
The weak point of the resort is actually the restaurant. The choice is not bad and the western food is generally acceptable, although not great. The Thai food seems lower quality: we were definitely expecting more. Prices are relatively high and one has no choices outside, apart from one or two very basic eateries.
Breakfast is quite limited in choice and could be improved. Also the quality is not that great and it is the main drawback of the resort.
After three days the food becomes a bit of a problem and it is the main reason why we would not recommend a longer stay.
But the villas and the overall design of the resort are fantastic, and would not hesitate saying that it is one of the most beautiful resorts we have seen in 25 years roaming around Thailand. So overall, I would give it a very good rating. If breakfast and food in general could be improved we would not hesitate giving it an excellent rating.

Spending 5 nights at Santhiya Phuket Natai Resort & Spa was an experience like no other. We've traveled a lot and stayed in many luxury hotels, but this place is truly special. The hotel has a stunning traditional Thai architecture, all made from teak wood. The scale and spaciousness of the resort is simply amazing.

One of the highlights is the massive 60-meter pool and the clean, long and beautiful beach. In general the whole place was so peaceful and quiet with just a few other hotel guests to see during the whole day – there are only about 35 suites in the hotel. We never had trouble finding a sun lounger or a day bed by the pool or beach, which made our stay feel very private and exclusive.

From the start, our personal assistant, Pa, made us feel welcomed. She was there to help with everything we needed, from keeping our room just the way we liked, to booking trips and dinners. We booked a "Deluxe Pool Suite" - and it was extraordinary. With its teak construction, high ceilings, and a huge comfortable bed, not to mention our own pool and a terrace surrounded by nature, it felt like a luxury hideaway.

A big thank you to Pa and all the staff for their kindness and excellent service. It's rare to find such friendly staff who make your stay unforgettable.

The food at the resort, from breakfast to dinner, was good, though dinner can be a bit pricey. For those looking to explore local dining options, we highly recommend "Wooden Bridge" just 100m away. And our pro tip: There is a local shop near the "Nurul Islam Mosque" that you won't find on Google Maps (you get snacks, drinks, etc. there – much cheaper than 7-eleven).

There is a village of villas in a lush tropical garden.
Even the cheapest room is classified as a suite - very spacious, with its own terrace with a private pool.
Beautiful large pool and a very good beach. You can walk a kilometre on the beach without meeting anyone.
In a secluded place and a short walk away, nothing is happening, so you need a car to get around or have to order a taxi.
Good service.
Good shampoos and body lotion. Stylish bathrobe and good slippers.
Good breakfast by the pool with a magnificent view of the sea, but could be with more food options.
The beach, pools and restaurant are on the other side of the road, but it is a very quiet road where cars rarely drive.
The territory is quite large, but since all the accommodation is in villas, there are pleasantly few people.
In the evening you fall asleep with the sounds of the night jungle and in the morning you wake up with birdsong.
The restaurant has delicious food at above average prices (as usual in a hotel), the service is friendly, but unfortunately very chaotic.
I am very glad that we found the opportunity to stay at this hotel again on this trip.

Minor cons:
The lighting was poor near the bathroom mirror, I couldn't see well when shaving.
The parking lot is about 500 meters away from the hotel. You can get there by golf cart, but organizing this all the time to take you there and back is not the most convenient.
There are two air conditioners in the room next to each other and there is one remote control for them. At first I didn't understand that they have to be adjusted separately and this is done from the same remote control by pointing the remote control specifically at the air conditioner you want to adjust.
At 12:00 we ran out of towels on the beach and were promised to bring more in three minutes, but they were only brought after two hours.
Compared to last year, there were some changes, which are not major cons, but were signs of a higher level - last year there was a program with live music during breakfast and in the evening the room was prepared for bed.

This hotel is a little remote (I understand they will pick you up from the airport) but as we had our own car it was perfect to stay here for a couple of mights while travelling.
At first you feel that you have arrived on a Thai film set from many years ago and this is further reinforced when you see your room. This place must have taken 10 years to build with the wood detail and carvings are rather like staying a night in a Thai Museum! We only had a standard room which was huge and very clean.
Without exception the staff were lovely.
The pool must be the most unique we have seen in Thailand.
The westerly orientation gives the beautiful sunsets over the Andeman Sea.
Lovely spa and so sensibly priced for a hotel, we had an early special at 799 THB for 60 minutes which is exceptional for a hotel of this standard.

Now one point where I mark this hotel down to 4.8 stars is the stupid QR code ordering system in the restaurant. The QR system never worked so they give you a tiny tablet with a ridiculously brief food description. So you have to call a member of staff if you want to share a dish, add or reduce spice, check ingredients or any other details. If I had stayed a third night I would have driven to a local restaurant where I could browse a proper illustrated menu. Please Santhiya get some proper menus and you will be 100%.

The cheapest and flexible way is to book taxi by indrive. You can also book by grab then discuss for your tour or the hourly rate. The hotel staff can also help you arrange for your tour.

If you want to rent a car, take it from the airport. Or book it online, usually you have to pick it up from their office most are near the airport. The hotel staff can help you, too. I find this resort to be quiet and private, far from the crowd.
