What a magnificent property managed by professional and friendly staff. Our room (19) was in the cottages and very comfortable with, my husband says, an absolutely fabulous shower. A glass of wine on the front terrace with beautiful views capped our first day, then a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. In the US you too often forget the niceties...

Twenty two years ago my husband and I toured the Loire Valley. and decided to return this year. I wanted us to stay somewhere special and I looked at many of the Chateau Hotels listed on Trip Advisor as well as other website. For many reasons I chose Domaine de la Tortiniere and I will never regret the decision. We...

The place was quite nice with beautiful grounds. The rooms, while not overly large were just fine, and had a king size bed. The toilet area was in a separate room from the sink and shower area. The facility is well-located to visit several of the Loire Valley Castles and Forts. It also contains a fairly good restaurant, although the...

Our room was lovely and quiet. The restaurant was so good we enjoyed the buffet every morning and ate dinner two out of our three nights! We found...

We stayed here for one night on our journey through the Loire Valley. I really wish we could have stayed longer. To give you some perspective, we are frequent travelers who are conscientious of price, but do not hesitate to splurge for exceptional experiences. This chateau is one of those experiences. I was surprised at how close to Tours the...

We stayed here for two nights ahead of a friends wedding at the end of April this year. The setting is beautiful with rooms available in the chateau itself and also in some lovely out buildings. The property has extensive grounds and beautiful views across the valley. I imagine the best views would be from rooms within the chateau, however...

I have stayed at this outstanding, magnificent, pastoral hotel four times. It is centrally located to all the chateaux of the Loire, so driving is minimized. It has a superb restaurant, which makes it easy to visit two or three chateaux, refresh in your room, and simply eat where you are staying. The staff is extremely welcoming, professional and goes...

After touring nearby Castle Chambord with no reservations we stumbled across this enchanting property! Only one night night was not long enough! Would love to swim in the pool in the summer! But, we got to cozy up to the fire in the sitting room sipping our cocktails and reading our maps, the art and flowers and furnishings so pretty!...

We were a group of 4 on a 6 day wine tour and this was one of the castles we stayed at. It is actually quite small, more like a manor home with spires. Luckily we had booked the two tower rooms which were spacious and charming (although the bathroom in each was only average: cramped plus rather clinically white...

Dear "Skib99", Thank you for tacking the time to writte a comment on our Château Hôtel. Your are very right, the rooms in the Chateau are a bit smaller than in the pavilion : in the Chateau we had to take some space from the bedrooms to built the bathroom. The consequence is that the bathroom are smaller, but with...

We stayed 3 nights the week before Easter. Our room, 33, was a gorgeous triple in one of the outbuildings. It was VERY large, had a large full bath with separate WC, two separate sitting areas and a balcony with seating for four and truly a million dollar view. It was appointed tastefully in a traditional style that felt very...
