Another wonderful stay at this beautiful lakeside hotel. We stayed 9 nights. Its a short taxi ride from the train station, or a 10/15 min walk down the hill. Depending what your legs are like. We didn't attempt to walk up. We had a room on the 1st floor with a balcony and a terrace. Breakfast was served from 7.30 each morning with plenty of choice. All of the staff at the hotel go out of their way to help you with any issue you may have. We will be back xx
Hotel Vittorio is in wonderful location overlooking the lake and offers excellent service from the staff. Our room had a small balcony and we could sit and watch the festivities on the promenade, enjoy the boats sailing on the lake, watch the sunrise, etc. Our room was well appointed for the two of us and we had no issues. The room was very quiet even with it facing the lake and street. The staff was very kind from top down and they gave us good recommendations for food, activities, transportation and also had bikes that we could borrow. The breakfast served was very good with lots of choices. Staff served the food as we pointed to what we wanted - it was a non-self-serve buffet which was great. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Vittorio!
We stayed 10 days in the platinum suite so that my teenager could have a separate room. This came with a double terrace overlooking the harbour and lake. Brilliant views. Nicer than the photos, especially the bathroom. Staff were excellent, Reception, the room staff and those at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. The free bikes were a bonus. Breakfast had a good choice, though you are served what you ask for because of Covid rules. Good coffee! It’s very central - the ferry and many restaurants are literally on the doorstep. We paid for the secure parking which is about 10 mins away, though you can offload the car directly outside. We only used the car once though during our stay. It could get a bit noisy on the weekend, lots of young people out and about but we loved people watching from the terrace. The double glazing is very good though. On Tuesday am they set up a huge market - more than 1km of stalls - and we didn’t hear a thing. We will definitely come back.…
Great hotel. Walking distance to all restaurants and the 'beach'. There was still a buffet breakfast available but staff members served the food. Staff members were wonderful and offered advice and guidance when needed (ie corkscrew made available, and takeaway pizza and bus advice) and booked our taxi when leaving. We were upgraded to a terrace room (from a lake view balcony) and I would highly recommend! We spent every evening with a bottle of wine on the terrace.
We had a lovely time at this hotel . It faces the lake and in the centre close to cafe’s and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean . Breakfast each morning is a treat. The staff are an asset here . Thank you for a great break.
This hotel is wonderful. We have just got back from 4 nights at this hotel and we were so pleased that we chose to stay here. The reception staff are so friendly and go the extra mile to get to know you and help you. Every morning they said hello to our children and remembered their names. We had a beautiful family room overlooking the lake with a lovely balcony. It’s perfectly situated within walking distance of all the restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic and so fresh. Not the average bog standard breakfast. It was a tasty feast in the morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends, it’s brilliant.
Desenzano is a beautiful town and the Hotel Vittorio is a great place to stay. Our room, with a balcony, overlooked the lake. What a view! We had 6 glorious days there, travelled by bus and ferry to several destinations around the lake, and had a wonderful time, mainly based on the information and assistance provided by the expert friendly hotel staff. The happiest of memories!
The location of this hotel is superb, right on the front in the main town. Its only a 5 minute walk to the ferry ticket office, or 5 minutes to the main street. The breakwater is right outside the entrance, across the road. The town market is right outside the hotel on a Tuesday. It's very large, and well worth a look. We had a side lake view room without a balcony, and right outside our room was the small harbour. The windows were excellent at blocking noise from the outside, but this did highlight some noise from other rooms around us. The room was quite big, the bed very comfortable, and the decoration quite stylish. Certainly not a run of the mill 3 star hotel room. The bathroom could do with some updating, but was very clean and had a double sink, which is always appreciated. No bath though. The breakfast had a lot of choice, and the ladies who served it were always friendly. There were scrambled eggs, streaky bacon and frankfurter style sausages. The cold selection included fresh cut fruit (no tinned fruit here), plain yoghurt, bread for toasting, croissants, tomatoes and mozzarella, cold meats and cheese, the list goes on. Aurora on the front desk was extremely helpful, and had excellent English. She is a credit to the hotel. We will definitely return.…
Just finished a three night stay in this hotel. We booked a room with a lake view although the balcony was small we did indeed have lovely lake views. The room was a decent size and was clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable The breakfast was excellent plenty choice especially fresh fruit . All staff were very polite and very helpful. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. .
Situated just across the road from the lake the hotel is in the most perfect location. Owned and run by a brother and sister the hotel is very well presented. The reception is modern and spacious. Reception staff are charming and extremely helpful and efficient. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean. The beds are large and comfortable. Recently refurbished and decorated. Our room was on the top floor with a large terrace. Spectacular views of the lake and harbour. The only down side for me were the very flat pillows! But seems to be normal in Italy. Breakfast- a huge selection of well presented food arranged in buffet style. From scrabbled eggs to beautiful savories. Cold meats, cheeses loads of fresh fruit too! Gluten free catered for. I had freshly squeezed orange juice each morning as I was allergic to the pineapple juice available (contained sulphites).…
