This hotel is a gem right in the heart of desenzano right opposite the lake. It’s ideal location means you are steps away from two main piazzas, one being Porto vecchio. Checkin was flawless, if driving you can park right outside the door to unload and checkin at reception. Our room (224) was beautiful, nice room, lovely bathroom, balcony and a gorgeous view of the lake. Very strong aircon meant the room as kept at a comfortable temperature regardless of it being nearly 34 degrees outside. Parking was only €11 per night and about 5mins walk away in a public covered car park. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special mentions to Aurora at front desk and Leena (from Brazil) at breakfast. Breakfast area was downstairs with option to sit outside. Great selection of food. The convenienceconnivence nm
M p of the location meant everything was within a few minutes work including the ferry port that could get you to most south Garda towns with Sirmione just 15-20mins away. In fact we got a direct ferry back from Garda that only took 30mins. Really recommend the hotel, not just for its location but also for the warmth shown by the staff. And Desenzaro in my opinion is the best South Garda town to act as a base. Thank you hotel Vittoria for such a pleasant stay.

Great hotel. Walking distance to all restaurants and the 'beach'. There was still a buffet breakfast available but staff members served the food. Staff members were wonderful and offered advice and guidance when needed (ie corkscrew made available, and takeaway pizza and bus advice) and booked our taxi when leaving. We were upgraded to a terrace room (from a lake view balcony) and I would highly recommend! We spent every evening with a bottle of wine on the terrace.

We stayed 10 days in the platinum suite so that my teenager could have a separate room. This came with a double terrace overlooking the harbour and lake. Brilliant views. Nicer than the photos, especially the bathroom. Staff were excellent, Reception, the room staff and those at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. The free bikes were a bonus. Breakfast had a good choice, though you are served what you ask for because of Covid rules. Good coffee! It’s very central - the ferry and many restaurants are literally on the doorstep. We paid for the secure parking which is about 10 mins away, though you can offload the car directly outside. We only used the car once though during our stay. It could get a bit noisy on the weekend, lots of young people out and about but we loved people watching from the terrace. The double glazing is very good though. On Tuesday am they set up a huge market - more than 1km of stalls - and we didn’t hear a thing. We will definitely come back.

We booked a balcony room overlooking the lake and were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room with a terrace on the first floor. The room was spacious containing a large bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, bedside tables, TV, fridge and a safe (deposit payable). The bathroom was also fairly big and contained a shower but no bath (not a problem for us). The balcony and terrace offered great views of the lake which was just across the road, and had a table and chairs plus a sun lounger so you could sit and enjoy dinner or drinks outside. The main issue we had was was that it was really hot in the room, there was air con but it didn't seem to cool down the room much. However on the last night it was suddenly much colder so I suspect it was switched over to summer mode at that point. Also it would have been nice to have another plug socket by the side of the bed as I had to keep unplugging the lamp to charge my phone. The hotel is in a great location next to the lake and is close to many restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the ferry and the bus stop. The train station was also only 15/20 minutes away (up a big hill). Breakfast was included, this was a buffet style and was very varied. The breakfast staff as well as the front desk staff were all very helpful. Overall we had a great stay and would happily stay here again in future.

dear customers thank you very much for compliments , it was a pleasure to have you among our guests , it makes me happy to know you had a nice time in our hotel. About air conditioning it was working but during your stay the temperature outside was quite low for this season , during the day 22/24 degree and during the night 15/16 , the air conditionig has a program for summer temperatures , when outside you have 35 degrees or more ......the temperature of 23/24 degrees is for us, but also for the air conditioning machine , a perfect temperature for summer and winter time that you do not need to change. Just during these last days temperature changed becouse of the good wether and air conditiong was working correctely, as you noticed . We really hope to meet you again and it will be a pleasure to have you again among our beloved guests. Arrivederci. Ilaria

i am really reluctant to write this review as I would like to keep this amazing place a secret !!
We arrived here after a few days in Venice and didn’t really know what to expect .
Wow what a beautiful place perfectly situated at the bottom shores of Lake Garda .
We took a taxi from the station to our hotel which has the most perfect position in town. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room on the second floor .
Would highly recommend a lake view and balcony which is what we got and it was spectacular , sitting before dinner sipping a wee Aperol !!
The rooms are modern and comfortable with all amenities .
Breakfasts were amazing with fresh pastries , cakes , fruit, yoghurts , cooked meats cheeses and much more , staff were efficient and friendly.
The hotel is in the centre right on the shoreline , close to boat rental and ferries which take you to all other resorts around the lake and are reasonably priced.
Evenings were spent wandering the beautiful streets and eating out at an array of stunning restaurants , we were never disappointed . Holiday makers were a mix of old and young and everything in between which created a great buzz .
We had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend this Hotel .
Taxis seem to be a problem here at times ...we were struggling to get one to take us to the train station and the Hotel Receptionist ( sorry but I didn’t get her name ) went above and beyond and took us to the station in her car !!
Gracie Hoztel Vittorio .

Road trip with my daughter and this hotel by far had the best view!!! I was unsure whether to book the superior room or the double with Terrace and I am so glad we chose the latter. To wake up in the morning and sit with a cup of tea on the terrace and see the magnificent lake Garda and the little boats was amazing, I would have been quite happy to sit there all day.
The room itself was lovely, big enough for 2 people and large cases . Nice modern bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. After observing other hotel'practices I would suggest transparent covers over the food to protect fron flies and better hygiene in regards to utensils being used for meat and non meat etc, with such a large buffet I can imagine this would have to be totally reorganized as it also is down to the client to use good sense.
The hotel is in the middle of the centre but it wasn't at all noisy. So many lovely cafes and bars where you can sit and admire the views.
I have been coming to Italy all my life and I noticed that the food in some restaurants in the centre , in general , catered for tourism and though food was good I have eaten better in Italy but we are foodies. Alessi Trattoria was great. It was atmospheric with dining outside indoors and in a courtyard. Pizzas were freshly made and the food was good, definitely worth trying.
Hotel close to station and walkable if you are not in 40c heat and large cases. Hotel were kind enough to find us a taxi which was about 13 euros.
Verona is 20 mins away by train and very easy to visit, Venice a little further but still great for a day trip from Garda.
Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return to the area and Hotel Vittorio.

We stopped by only for a late lunch on a Monday, when many other good restaurants were closed. The meal was served in a friendly professional style, even the dog received a bowl of water instantly. Our meal was excellent, accompanied by a glass of good local red. Definitely a recommendation for friends and one to recall ourselves.

My husband and I recently stayed here for 3 nights and loved everything about it. The location couldn’t be better, with restaurants and bars close-by, the harbour within very easy access and the beach an easy (and beautiful) 10min walk away. We walked to the hotel from the train station on arrival which took about 20min. The staff are very friendly & accommodating (even allowing us an early check in without prior arrangement), the breakfast is fresh and great, and the rooms are perfectly comfortable. We had a top floor room with terrace and lake view- highly recommend this, totally worth the additional charge! Would definitely return here.

Would highly recommend this hotel. It was our first trip to Italy and Lake Garda and the hotel made this a memorable stay and will definitely return here. Staff were so helpful with the booking (book terrace balcony rooms direct with hotel as not available through agent sites) and requests in lead up to holiday. Also so helpful in restaurant recommendations/ordering taxis. We arrived by train and easy 10 min downhill walk into town. The lake-front rooms have stunning views (stayed on 4th floor). Requested a kettle. Room had a good sized fridge, hair dryer and toiletries, comfy bed, safe (just a deposit needed). Lovely, varied continental breakfast and again really lovely staff. The hotel is just a 2 min walk from the ferry/bus stops nearby. Also close to many restaurants (we also enjoyed some take away pizzas on our terrace over looking the lake!). There is also a supermarket 10 mins away which is handy for drinks for your terrace/fridge). The town itself is in a good position - easy transport from Verona (where we flew into and spent 1st night) and ferries to see other towns around the lake. Also a few beaches to have a nice swim from. Thanks everyone at Hotel Vittorio for a wonderful stay

In my opinion Desenzano is the best place to stay for a Lake Garda holiday and Hotel Vittorio is in the best location in the town. There are many bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The harbour is just a few minutes walk away with regular boat services around the lake.
The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Our room was clean and modern in a minimalistic style. The bathroom was excellent with a large, well functioning shower. We had a 'superior' room and I'm glad we hadn't booked a standard one as the room was quite small and on the sparse side. The bed was large and comfortable but there was only one chair, office style, and a small table. I was disappointed that there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It took us until day three to find a TV channel in English and although we were told we could get BBC we could only find CNN and no entertainment channels in English. This didn't really bother us but it might bother others.
We didn't know that Tuesday was market day and, of course, we arrived on a Tuesday in a car hired from Verona Airport. We had to park some distance from the hotel and walk in through the market with our luggage, not ideal. If we had known it would have been quite simple to change our days. I would not advise checking in or out on a Tuesday.
The breakfast buffet was first class, one of the best we've ever had in a European hotel. Everything you would expect in a continental breakfast plus bacon and eggs. The selection of fresh fruit was extremely good.
All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, we couldn't fault them.
Overall this was a very good short break and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

dear customers it was a pleasure to have you among our guests and thank you for your nice review and your words of appreciation , it is very important for us to know what in your opinion was good during your stay and where we can improve . We have taken good note of your remarks and the request for a kettle , at the moment we have just in the suites. Superior rooms are new and stylish double rooms of a very good size but are not suites, sure you would have found our suites very comfortable , they consist of a bedroom and a separate living room with sofa and armchairs , the price is more expensive than a superior double room but there you could find all the place and the services you was expecting . Sorry for the trouble of the market on Tuesday , you arrived in the morning and the check in is from 02,30 PM, for that time market is over and it is possible to stop the car just outside the hotel. For people arriving in the morninig it is also possible to reach the hotel arriving from the centre and to stop the car just 50 m. far away , sorry your driver didn't call us when in town , it was very easy for us to give him all the informations about the best way to reach the hotel. I am glad to know that you had a nice time in our hotel and you will recommend it to anyone. We hope to meet you again. Arrivederci. Ilaria
