I visited Chateau Bonnemare in June and would highly recommend a stay here. This is a fairytale chateau with beautifully restored rooms that make you feel as if you're royalty! Original 18th-century decor and architectural details are everywhere, with four-poster beds and incredible antique furniture yet modern, spacious bathrooms. Sadly we didn't have time to wander round the park, with...

I cannot recommend this enough and I am sorry we stayed only one night. On a trip that included 3 chateaux stays in 7 nights, this is the one to which I most want to return. A dream trip to me would be to spend a whole week camped out in my wing of this chateau with Sylvie, Alain and...

This is really old castle with great history and very friendly owners. The castle has very big own area with forest. There are very beautiful and comfortable rooms and bath rooms. Also there are everything to have a romantic picknic. The breakfest from the fresh local food in the old kitchen was very nice. The owners show all castle and...

A lovely place to stay - a beautiful setting, a comfortable room with a modern bathroom, a fantastic breakfast room with a massive fireplace, luscious breakfasts with the flakiest croissants ever, and delicious homemade jams and cakes. Our hostess, Sylvie, who speaks reasonable English (way better than our broken French) was wonderfully friendly and helpful, informing us of all the...

A wonderful experience and a privilege to stay in the sort of room one normally only sees as a day visitor to a historic house. Silvie and Alain welcomed us like old friends and offered to show us around the estate and other rooms in the chateau, made dinner reservations at a local restaurant and provided a lovely breakfast which...

Everything about the chateau is perfect, from the beautifully tended grounds, the quite breathtaking beauty of the chateau itself, the spotlessly clean rooms, the locally sourced breakfast (taken in the original kitchen) to the kindness of the owners, I cannot recommend it highly enough. We felt transported to another time. Take some time to wander around the grounds and soak...

It was just perfect! From the site which is really nice, the park, well kept, the owners, a dream and all the details like the bath robes, the large towels, the fresh flowers, the cleanliness and a truly delicious breakfast with strawberries from their own gardens, everything was just perfect! We are already planning our next visit!

Coming around the corner through the wheat fields we see in the distance an ancient treelined gravel path and in its center a stunning 17th century chateau. We were awestruck when we realized this is our lodging for the night. The grounds of the chateau create an authentic visual of life in the country for the Ex Chequer of Rouen....

We only stayed here one night in La Chambre Raoul de Bonnemare. We were traveling through from Caen to Paris but I wish we had had more time to enjoy Le Chateau. We were the only guests the night we stayed so it was very quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the backyard drinking tea and walking around the beautiful...

We chose the Bonnemare for its proximity to Giverny, Rouen, and other interesting sites in the area. The chateau is very comfortable with well appointed rooms and breakfast is served in the historic kitchen. Nearby restaurants were recommended for dinner and were only a short drive away. The rooms are very large and our bathroom was large as well. My...
