Lying just a short walk away from one of the gates into the old city of Volterra, La Primavera is pretty house with a simple garden & a private car park. My son & I had the 2 independent double rooms which are reached individually from the garden. Both were spacious, simple but well appointed with very good bathrooms. There... More

We have been able to stay with Silvia now 3 times since 2011. Each time was 5 nights. Volterra is a good town for day tripping to many hill towns in western Tuscany. I'm sure anything I'm about to tell you has been written before maybe by me as La Primavera is a special B&B. Very well located just outside... More

I can only agree with all the positive reviews. We stayed two nights and very much enjoyed our large pretty room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with special cake and cooked eggs plus the usual cheese, yogurt, cereal and so on. It is a very short walk to the gate leading to the town, with many nice shops and restaurants... More

Sylvia is a wonderful host at this neat little B&B. Teapots lined up on shelves, lace curtains and very proper table settings give it a very English feel. Everything is spotless. It's located just a 2-minute walk from a main gate into town and they have a private parking lot for your car - a very significant plus. The rooms... More

Really enjoyed our three day stay at La Primavera. Silvia is a lovely hostess, the location is superb and the accommodation is typically Italian - perfect! Car parking is a real benefit, breakfast is "intimate" and good opportunity to talk with other guests.

We arrived in Volterra in the evening with no accommodation booked. And after a few stressful drives around the city walls we just parked the car and stumbled upon La Primavera having heard nothing of the place before. Luckily this was not high season, so we got a room, left our bags in the room, and headed to town for... More

We stayed two nights with Silvia at her immaculate and homey B & B in mid-September, and truly enjoyed our stay. The B & B was situated just outside the Porta Florentina, close enough for easy access to Volterra, but quieter and more peaceful than the busy scene inside the city walls. The room was high-ceilinged, spacious, and very nicely... More

We had a wonderful time staying at La Primavera with Silvia. The inn has about five rooms built around Silvia's father's childhood home. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the location is perfect... just a couple minutes walk from Volterra's main street with a safe & private parking lot to keep your car if you're driving. Silvia had... More

A 10 minute walk from where the bus drops you off, right down the main street of the walled town. Silvia is so sweet and a wonderful host. The room was wonderful, spotless with a very comfortable bed. We had 2 great nights in Volterra, and Silvia's breakfasts were the best we had in our 15 days in Italy. Recommended... More

This is a charming B & B that felt like home. Silvia, the sweet owner has special touches throughout. It's obvious she loves cross-stitch, teapots, cats and cooking, none overdone....except her wonderful breakfast items each morning. We were fortunate to stay with her for 3 nights, having a wonderful very large room with a sitting area and views of yard... More
