This place is fantastic. Close to Viterbo but you will feel transported to another time and place. We stayed in the grandmother's suite with the vaulted ceiling and beautiful view (and awesome bathroom). I felt like royalty. You truly feel as though you are guests at the family Villa (you are) with paintings of ancestors and family furnishings all around.... More

Dears, your text is the best, or one of the best we've never received! Thank you so much! You're not idiot but so nice people... with the keys in an old house it can happen! See you next years we hope. Ciao Maurizio More

This place is lovely, with a huge garden in which the trees provide shade during the warmest hours of the day. Though not far from the city, it is very peaceful and quiet. The house is impressive and the room clean and furnished with everything you could want. Viterbo, a medieval city -- very rare in Italy -- is very... More

Just got back from another visit to this lovely country house B&B situated on the outskirts of Viterbo. Wonderful hospitality in their beautifully decorated Villa and great to have a pool to relax in after a hard days sightseeing. They now also have a self contained and self catering 2 bed mini villa which we will certainly want to use... More

We stayed in a new 2 bed apartment for five nights. It was recently renovated and was not on the website. It is located right next to the villa. The apartment was spotlessly clean and equipped with every mod con you could wish for (i.e. washing machine, cooker, dishwasher, iron, two ensuite bathrooms, terrace for sunbathing and a garden). There... More

Absolutely fabulous. Very friendly people, clean, lovely, historical place. Nice swimming pool, great garden, Italian dolce vita. I wish I could go back. My huge thanks for Seniora Laura, Seniora Rita, Valentina, Maurizio and Emma. Great place for families with children, for lonely travellers, for everybody.

Only 3 nights unfortunately because we would have loved more time in the villa and area. Great beds, space, light and amazing sitting and dining rooms. Hostess was knowledgeable, helpful and just very kind.

This was our last hotel after 21 days. We stayed at some great places but this was truly unique. This is a preserved Villa from at least the early 1930's held within the same family. We had a beautiful room on their 5.5 acre gated very private compound with olive and chestnut trees. The furniture, pictures, and beautiful detailed ceilings... More

We stayed at Villa Farinella for 3 nights in mid June. When you drive up the lane and through the private gates, you cannot fail to be impressed by Villa Farinella and the inside of the apartment which houses the B&B is lovely, with very spacious and comfortable public spaces where guests can relax. There are also tea making facilities... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The B&B Farinella, established since 1999, found its aim in bringing new life and preserve to abandon a wonderful country house whose structure kept wearing down rapidly. We made the decision to restore and then open it to guests, up to six, who prefers to stay in a proper and fascinating old country house. Our hospitality is way far different from the classical hotel one: we bring more familiarity as well as intimacy in our service. Inspired from and as for the classic Irish B&B, you can enjoy a different and more characteristic atmosphere: you'll never wake up at the noises of traffic, more likely you could be awaked at birdies singing on the horse-chestnuts by the garden. ... more   less
