We stayed here for 5 nights in September. Just over an hour's drive from Cagliari we hadn't spotted that there is free transport provided by the hotel to the airport, but we needed a car anyway. The hotel/resort has a prime position near the Spiaggia di Porto Giunco and they really make the most of it. We didn't use the various extra curricular activities such as tennis, archery, etc but it was available. Atmosphere-wise, we loved the place. The beach is around 5 minutes walk away, or about 45 seconds if you take the always available open mini-bus service (holds 8 people) that goes back and forth to the beach. The beach and water are outstanding. Unfortunately weather-wise we only got one perfect day for sunshine and swimming, so that's an excuse to go back. We only ordered food twice at the hotel. We felt it was a bit pricey but it was very good. We tended to drive into Villasimius town (5 mins drive) to the various restaurants there. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding. So much choice and of the highest quality. The only tiny negative thing about the hotel was the pool. It looked amazing and was never busy, but asides from the sides, it is 1.8 meters deep and as I'm a poor swimmer I had to move around on my tippy toes. If only it wasn't so deep it would be a sure winner. Maybe that's an excuse to be a better swimmer. In summary, we would come back again. The upgrade to a suite was also an extremely nice surprise. We stayed here a few weeks ago for five nights and had the most amazing stay! It was beyond what we expected. When we checked in, we got a free upgrade to one of the newly refurbished rooms and the room was lovely and modern. The bed was also super comfortable and big. The hotel itself is clean and modern and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. We were half board and the buffet breakfast and dinner were the best buffets I've ever had. There was so much choice and it was all so different, not the usual restaurant buffet food. Location wise, there isn't masses to do directly around the hotel, but if you're after a relaxing break it is definitely the place for you. The hotel is about a five minute walk from a beautiful beach, where you have an area just for hotel guests with plenty of sunbeds. Well, we were very much looking forward for the stay at this hotel, and I would have rated the hotel 4 stars if it wasn't for the free upgrade we got given at arrival. The biggest selling point is the location. It is absolutely stunning, and the surroundings are one of the nicest in the whole of Sardinia, and the hotel knows how to capitalise this smartly. We got a refurbished Bay View room ( 2214 ), and the room is classy, with the modern twist. Nice pastel colours, which makes you feel very relaxed. Points off for the slightly smelly AC system and the thin walls. The staff were all lovely and they looked after you from arrival till departure. The service was 5 stars. However, critically, the checkout was very cold and more of a process, rather with style. If I could mention one member, it's Andrea at the Ginepri restaurant. And with the f&b offerints, it's quite good quality, obviously it's not cheap, but you do expect this. The evening buffet was excellent, and one of the most extensive breakfast buffet I've ever come across. As mentioned above, the experience at the Ginepri restaurant was fantastic. Its a special setting, with excellent service - Andrea really knows his job very well! Finally a bit of criticism, points off for not having iron or ironing service after 5pm. If you are staying in a fancy place, you'd kinda wish to look good, and not having creased shirts on you. That must to be looked at, as it's basic 5 star service. Fantastic Private Beach and amazing selection of restaurants and bars. Quiet garden facing room (1115) although this was not one of the renovated rooms, it was bigger than the newer ones so we preferred it. No coffee/tea making facility in the room and no iron available to borrow. Those were the only things lacking. About 1.5. hours from the airport (approx £80 each way in a private taxi). You can do it via air con bus from Villisimius but it's difficult with timings. We went half board which was really worth it as the quality of food at the hotel's main restaurant is outstanding. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if staying in the south of the island. The private beach was superb with bars, food, showers, toilets etc. kept spotless. A really wonderful place to stay in beautiful Sardinia.…

It is third year in a row we spend our summer holiday in this nice resort. Location is wonderful and peaceful, it is right place to recharge batteries, beach is really nice and seawater is warm, transparent and with color that goes from green, light blue. The walking to the beach allow to observe flamingos that spend all day in nottery lake. A wide selection of food make difficult to keep correct weight during holiday at Timiama. A special thank to the Metre Giulio, he is a talent person in making breakfast and dinner special for all guests. Zou is able to control all dining areas with a great professionalism. We found an improvement in the animation team, I mention some of them hoping to do not forget someone, Gioia (animation head), Joseph, Michele, Milena and Alice. Swimming pool was always clean. Some suggestion to improve the place, it would be nice to find a couple of Padel fields next year, sacrificing a tennis court (there are 4), if possible a small basketball field. Finally I think some rooms have to be renovated to put all structure at same level of services.…

Location is for sure great, only reason the have 2 stars. I was told that with the previous organisation was another story, but unfortunately I had to experience the new take over. The defenetly need money. As soon as you arrive they will ask you to pay il full your stay, this doesn’t happen in a 5 start hotel, in any hotel actually. Every time you will ask for some thing: a drink, water a coffe, they are not even going to start preparing it, without a check signed. Also, your room number and sign is not enough, they need also your name and surname. If you are a family, don’t take more then a room, or every time you need to give a room number for paying some thing, they want to know the room number of all the people at the table with you. If you need anything from the beach bar, ask before 2 pm, after they are out of everything. If you want to be in the first two rows in the beach you need to pay an extra, but you don’t have any benefit, so don’t do it. They are suppose to come l to get an order in case needed, but they are understaffed, so they will not come. We ask more then once TOILET PAPER, for our bedroom, but I guess was too difficult for them. Wine list is terrible, super over priced and all good wine are finished (a wine at the resort costed 43, at a enoteca in the town, 13) We brought are on wine, and we wanted to pay them, even if we bought it outside, that was not possible. You will probably have dinner included but WATER IS NOT INCLUDED. Food is not the best either. P.s The reception was not even able to call a taxi. Stay far away for this place with this new management, doesn’t deserve a penny. Is not a 5 star, maybe could be a 3, but these prices are not worth it.…

Dear guest, Although receiving negative reviews from our guests is not ideal, we appreciate you sharing your feedback about your stay at Pullman Almar Timi Ama Resort & Spa. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We regret that different aspects of your experience that did not meet your expectations. While we understand that you have attributed these shortcomings to the change in management, we would like to highlight that our key policies have remained unchanged from past years. These include: pre-payment for your stay at check-in - which is based on the terms of sale of the rate you selected / accepted at the time of booking -, signing receipts for in-room charges, the first two rows at the beach being charged, restrictions on outside food and beverage consumption in our dining areas, and drinks excluded from the half-board option. As for the signing of a receipt when purchasing any product or service within the hotel, please allow us to clarify that your signature serves as authorization for the charge, which is why our staff have to verify the correct match between the room number and the guest name in order to avoid any billing mistakes and subsequent complaints. We apologize if our staff seemed excessive to you, as they were simply trying to prevent errors that often occur when guests mistakenly communicate their room number. We also apologize if you had to ask several times for additional toilet paper in your room. This should not happen and does not reflect our usual standards. Regarding the taxi incident, we would like to clarify that our reception team is accustomed to arranging taxis for guests, but they cannot be held responsible for any unavailability at your requested time. We value your feedback as we are committed to constantly improving our level of service. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts on what did not work during your stay. One week ago we came back from another fantastic vacation in Pullman Almar Timi Ama. It was our fifth year in a row there. Our friends keep asking us why we don’t go somewhere else. Actually we’ve stayed in many other sea hotels but for us there is no other place in Europe which provides a better combination of natural beauty, excellent service, top quality food and entertainment for every taste. Moreover, our family of five already feels Timi Ama like our summer home. The hotel team is what makes the big difference - we just relax, they take care about everything. They know our preferences, they welcome us every time like friends and make us feel special. Big thank you to all of them, especially to Zouhaier, who once again was always there for us to make sure that everything is alright, to Giulio, Francesco, Angie, Rita and Davide who made our dining experience perfect as well as to Denise, Sofia and Nikolay for their warm and friendly attitude. Stunning location and beach. I booked 2 classic garden view rooms. Unfortunately the rooms were rundown and with obsolete amenities. No reading lights, old centralized AC and rundown bathroom. I have to say those were quite disappointing. Buffet was also mediocre, overpriced with limited choice and not worth the 70 € per person. I ended up eating a slice of pizza and a pastry for €70. My son’s girlfriend is vegetarian, upon asking I was told she could eat some prawns… Ginepri also disappointing. Offering frozen Canadian lobsters in an island where fresh seafood is available everywhere seems very bizarre and cheap. The hotel is still advertised throughout the property as Accor . Although is taken over by HNH hospitality. The beach is stunning, again you’ll need to pay extra for sun loungers before the 3rd row. Staff was very young and enthusiastic. A special thank to Maria and Vittoria from the entertainment. Best food is at Mediterrano again special thank to Antonietta the supervisor. Pool is lovely. Overall I found the location fantastic. We took a private half day boat trip for € 700. Which was nice. Decor thorough the hotel is not of my taste. I also viewed the newly renovated rooms as I was complaining about the ones I was allocated. I have to say they looked fine but very city like. No resort feeling whatsoever. Staff at the reception were very nice. Definitely lacking was any senior management. Food was definitely disappointing. Especially in an island renowned for the delicacy of its food.…

Coming to the sour notes, we are sorry that you did not appreciate the Mediterranean style of our Classic rooms. However, we are excited to announce that all of these rooms will be completely renovated next year, with many even being combined to create larger, more comfortable accommodations. We hope to have the chance to introduce you to the comfort and refined style of the new rooms on a future stay. We also regret that you did not appreciate the quality of our buffet. Our Chef studied seven different themes to cater to our diverse, international clientele while providing a wide range of options. In this respect, allow us to point out that vegetarian and vegan options are always available and can also be prepared upon request. However, we apologize for the gaffe made by our waiter by suggesting “prawns” to your son’s girlfriend, who’s vegetarian. This was most likely due to a miscommunication. Regarding your remarks on I Ginepri restaurant, our Chef would like to clarify that the lobster is absolutely not frozen, but kept alive in the fish display case and cooked fresh once selected by the customer. While local blue lobster is not always readily available, we do offer it as a special off-menu item when available. Finally, we would like to reassure you that, as a Pullman-franchised hotel under the Accor umbrella, it is absolutely normal to find Accor/Pullman communications throughout the hotel. Also, we would also like to highlight that despite the change in management, our services, standards, and staff remained the same as in past years.
