We thoroughly enjoyed our last minute booking within a small window of opportunity during these Covid times. We were well impressed with staff, wearing face masks at all times and frequently using hand gels which were available at several places in the hotel. The yoga in mornings and evenings outside were special, and quite a few other guests became regulars during this week. The food was great, great choice, good quality and friendly service. Rooms were well cleaned. Only minor was the slight smell with some specific winds. We enjoyed our balcony at sundowners and enjoyed eating outside in the evenings. All well maintained and super friendly staff. Am sure we will be back again!
What a beautiful hotel, nice large rooms, stunning scenery, great balcony, lovely staff, nice food, staff were so kind and helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there, nothing was too much trouble! We shall we back again!
A lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds and stunning scenery. It is a bit isolated and you need to take transport to reach any other bars or shops. The staff were all helpful and efficient. It would be nice if one of the pools could have been heated out of season as they were all far to cold for most people to swim in so remained empty for most of the day. Overall a lovely spot for a relaxing stay.
Really nice experience, I mean in this tough times with the flue called covid 19 they are doing a really god job. If you would like to enjoy the summer vibes on Sardinia, go for it. We hopefully see you next year, do not wanna miss the perfect location with the outstanding service. From the staff on the beach trough the service staff in the restaurant / all of them / till the reception desk. Everything was just perfect. A really big thank you guys. Keep on it!
The Falkensteiner Capo Boi didn’t disappoint us and made us happy when we came back for two weeks in Corona-Times! My review will respect that it’s a hard time especially for the touristsector such as hotels as the Falkensteiner and that is why I recommend everybody who is writing a report of his stay that he or she shall keep in mind that we‘re talking about vacation made possible from this great hotel and it’s management in a time of a great economical crisis. These are the points: 1. Star: The hotel is great especially for families travelling with very young children up to the age of 6. This doesn’t mean that children over that age will be disappointed but I see the main advantages in that corridor. Why? There‘s an Indoor-Kidsclub called Falkyland, named after the mascot „Falky“, a human size cozy bird-puppet, that shows up shortly around 10:00am and 8:30pm on the terrace to collect those kids who want to join for the kidsclub in the mornings or, when showing up in the evenings, for kidsdisco or a approx. once a week a kidsmovie. The Kidsclub this year is guided and maintained by the Peter Pan Group, a professional company for kids entertainment. Inside the Falkyland is a playground for babies guided by their parents and a separate bigger part for the kids from 2-3years on. The kids also can decide if they want to draw, to paint or to create something. Approx. once a week there‘s the chance to bake cookies or kidspizza in the afternoons. We owe Martina, Roberta, Danette, Aurelia and Salvatore a big „Thank you“ for their great support with our kids. Your support is priceless and of great value for every couple with young children to have a few hours completely on their own! There are five poolareas of different depths to distinguish for your kids. There‘s no separated adultareas but also not necessary as the hotel was booked really from many different grouptypes of customers and not only young families. There‘s also playmaterial provided for the kids at the beach. We appreciate that all about this Falkyland is done calm and relaxed without great noises or kidsmusic disturbing the eating people when Falky shows up On the terrace shortly. This probably really don’t disturbs the couples and others without children to enjoy their vacation. 2.Star: The Setting in the environment, the architecture of the hotel and the atmosphere are amazing. Almost from any place on the hotelarea there are views like from a postcard! The mountains in the back of the hotel, the always clear waters in front of the beach, the rosemary along the walkway and the terrace, the „rare to have“ close beach. The hotel was build before strict rules avoided the development of hotels too close at the sardinian beaches and so the beach is very comfortable in reach with no public roads in front of it. The Beachs‘ cove is almost used only by hotelguests and only from very view other beachguests that live in a small villas nearby. 3.Star: The Juniorsuites of the hotel We can only talk about the junior suites we booked last year and this year again and we are absolutely satisfied with it. A nice walk-in-shower, room is cleaned on the daytime you can ask for, the aircon doesn’t harm you with wind because of the use of diffusors, the small terrace in front of the room, the nice windows, the great view over the sea and the rock in the cove... 4.Star: Something about the food and service, the bar, the entertainment by singers approx. 5times a week at dinnertime The Breakfast doesn’t have a multicultural-choice. The breakfast is european-mediterranean style buffet and we are satisfied with that very much. I don’t miss the asian, or indian food or the british breakfaststyle that is offered in bigger hotels. We had every morning a choice of fresh juices, different types of breadroles, croissants and pain au chocolat, there was different cakes and bakery possible, different types of mueslis/ cereals, fruits, cold cuts, a few types of cheese, also blue-cheese, salmon, different types of preparing the egg however you like it. Concerning the breakfast we want to thank David from the kitchen, who wears always a happy smile and he makes the best omelettes! The dinner was also of a bigger buffet with a choice for up to 4 courses between two kinds of meat, mostly two kinds of fish (second main course), different types of pasta (first main course), a high diversity of mostly seafood- antipasti and different types of dessert. I need to point out that on Tuesdays and Fridays we liked the dinner the most! Also the patisserie of the hotel is really five stars worth to be given at every day! The winelist offers bottles from approx. 30€ upwards but there is enough choice for two weeks in a winecategory of 30-45€ and the staff will keep your bottle for the next day on request if you want to drink it the next day again. A special Thank you goes to Jessica, you showed us every day how much „you“ care for your customers, same goes to Clarissa and Giorgio, who always remembered my name and gave you the feeling that you are not only a tablenumber. This doesn’t mean that others showed the opposite, we were very happy about the people who served us! A special Thanks goes to Sara, working in the main bar at the terrace who performed the best pina colladas in the whole hotel and is a barkeeper performing with big heart. She also can mix a perfect tropical drink with a passion-fruit on top. Please ask her for this drink! You will see that she is the best. We also thank her college for the smoothest Mai Tais that is also very experienced and also remembers our names well. The beachrestaurant we didn’t visit for dinner this time, where a la carte is possible very close to the sea and beach. They also offer service for lunch and drinks at daytime. They have a good pasta with green pesto and tuna, thanks to the kitchen! About the entertainment there is one singer to be pointed out: David Costantino with the Frank Sinatra Voice and similar songs that fit in that time. There is simply no one better and he is really adorable and not only a casual singer. All the best for your plans! 5. Star „missing“: The hotel has got potential in cases of the diversity of first and second main course at dinner and this is only to be said when talking about a five-star-category-hotel. This year the beach could need a little more treatment. It’s not dirty but the sand should be a bit more cleaned from seaweeds and stones cause the place itself is so beautiful and this demands a perfect beach in the whole setting. We missed the beachservice that was provided last year. Please arrange that customers can tip your staff for what they are doing! I recommend everybody who is about to visit the hotel to bring enough small banknotes for your stay. You can’t tip the staff on the bills and the hotel has problems with giving change in small notes what is justified by the local banks. Overall a fantastic stay! My wife and I like to thank the staff for the great support and their help with everything that made our stay an adorable happening!…
