Dimora del Dragone is an excellent place to stay. Beautifully restored house, clean and esthetic. The view was incredible and absolutely worth the additional costs.
Located in the old town, right next to the Duomo. The owners Rosa and Pasquale were very welcoming and helpful.
We stayed with friends in this delightful house in the walled old town - parking is a short distance away. The building has recently been refurbished in a modern tasteful style with excellent shower/bathroom.

The old town is not accessible to cars but the hotel is just inside the archway into the old town, so you can drop your bags off. The proprietor will direct you to a secure parking spot just round the corner, which is very reasonable. You can then explore on foot the lovely winding streets of the old town, waterfront and nearest beach.
We only got in the car to go to the further flung beaches in the national park where you find all the beach clubs.
We had the top floor terrace room so the views were fab, across the town and sea, with the church up behind you. The bed was plenty big, I'd say a king.
Breakfast is just across the street in the restaurant and is lovely - ask for ham and eggs! We had dinner in there one night too, and it was great. There is a little bar a couple of doors up for an apperatif or when you've come off the beach.
Hope this helps, enjoy.
