3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2016

We visited a week before the Italian tourist season starts (June 1st) and had the bizarre experience of being the only guests for a couple of nights, served by 3 girls on reception, maintenance staff and an empty restaurant. The Gargano is not on the main non-Italian tourist trail.
The positives about the site are that it is near a long sandy beach, it has nice grounds with eucalyptus and pine trees; a large pool; and is extremely cheap.
On the negative side, our bungalow's kitchen was under-stocked, e.g. lacked a tin/bottle-opener, mugs or cleaning materials; the water supply was saline so you had to drink bottled water; the hot water was irregular, taking 3 minutes to go from cold to tepid and up to 10 minutes to get really hot, if you were lucky. Also, the site had a good share of mosquitoes which can ruin a good night's sleep, even if you can cope with the lumpy mattresses.
Having said all that, you get what you pay for, and we had a good stay here.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2015

We travelled to Vieste from Naples airport (from London Stansted). The accommodation was clean and practical and the village itself was well maintained. All the staff where helpful and friendly. Animation was good and though my children didn't join in that much (english and shy!) they where always welcomed. There is a small mini markets which is great for bread and other bits, whilst a couple of bigger supermarkets are a short drive away. The pool was a good size and hosts some evening entertainment. My children really enjoyed the night swimming after the pool party. The short walk to the beach was over a small hill. The beach was beautiful and clean. The private area for residents was well looked after and had its own lifeguard too. The beach was windy at times but the sea was so warm and with swallow incline and soft sand, it is perfect for families. Vieste town was a short drive and hosts many lovely restaurant, bars and shops. We will definitely come again! More
