We're a family of four who stayed for 10 days at this lovely hotel. I genuinely don't recognise some of the poor reviews posted here - can only assume that others are seeking something more akin to a standard Holiday Inn than a hotel with quirky decor, warm and friendly staff and the most amazing room view we have ever... We stayed for two nights in July 2016 and we were really disappointed! The building is probably around 40 years old and the only thing in the rooms that has ever been changed since then was the bed and the closets. the walls were scratched and dirty all over, the balcony full of dust and dirt, the air intake of... Our Family of four booked two adjoining rooms. Generally, the condition of the rooms were acceptable but what made our experience more memorable was the excellent service from the front desk. The three gentlemen that attended to us were each always prepared to assist with directions and recommendations and we were grateful for their assistance. The pool was a very... More

Terrible, really dirty hotel with rooms full of mould. Really understaffed hotel with no real english speaking skills. We asked to change the room because the shower was full of mould and the receptionist was not surprised at all. So this looks to be daily routine for them Last thing is that the staff is not polite at all. Try... More

We stayed here for 8 days in June 2016 and, overall, were not exactly over-whelmed. This is an individual, family-run hotel, so we were prepared for something individual, perhaps quirky. We certainly got that but the whole place seems rather sad, run-down and in need of redecoration & refurbishment. On the plus side there is a good-size pool with plenty of... More

Stayed in this hotel for seven nights in June 2016 as part of a Travelsphere Pompeii tour. The tour was superb but l will never wish to stay at this hotel again. In trying to give a fair review, here are the good and bad points. Good; the location is very nice with good views from the terrace over the... More

We loved this grand, stately old hotel. It is reasonably priced, beautifully clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. (Special thanks to Giacomo who was so kind and always had a smile). The hotel is around the corner from the train station, about 5 mins walk. It is an older style hotel but everything about it was spacious and... More

Vico Equense is a great location for touring the Amalfi coast,Herculaneum and Pompeii. The hotel is friendly and the service is good. We traveled with Travelsphere, whilst the tour was a liitle more expensive than others it included a tour to Oplontis which you must see. The food in the hotel was limited, however there is a restraunt opposite which... More

Simple rooms with fabulous views, friendly staff and a great location. A short train ride into Sorrento, even the train station provides incredible views of Mount Vesuvius! Wonderful restaurants in Vico, good variety. And the pool at Aequa is expansive and a refreshing way to start the day off in this beautiful city.

The organization I work for had a 6 day conference at the Aequa Hotel. It is a structure with a LOT of character. A fabulous, large pool. Different large areas to sit in small groups with fabulous views. Very good food and service. The rooms were nice and clean with either a terrace or a balcony. Good wifi most of... More
