Located on one of the Viareggio coastline's most attractive stretches, a short walk from the seashore, at the heart of the Passeggiata and near the pine grove, it is an ideal area for a nice walk, to relax and have fun too. Tennis courts are nearby, bikes are available, there is a fun fair, playground, pizzerias and gelaterias to enjoy in the cool and peaceful green area. The Palace Hotel stands out for its lovely Liberty style facade. Some of the rooms look out over the sea and from the spacious terrace with American-style bar there is a gorgeous panorama of the entire coastline. Style, beauty and history give the Palace Hotel that special atmosphere which has made it, over the years, a point of reference for its international clientele. The Palace Hotel offers its guests free Wi-Fi in every part of the hotel and an internet point. The TVs in the guest rooms have Sky cable service and multilingual satellite programmes.

We had stayed at The Palace two years ago for the annual carnival, enjoyed both so much we decided to return this year. The Palace is situated right on the main seafront road about 15 minutes easy walk from the railway station, or 5 from the bus station. We arrived early and

We were staying as B&B guests at the hotel. It has a good location with a backdrop of the mountains at the back of the hotel and a beautiful view of the sea from the front of the Art Decco hotel. Choice at the breakfast was fab - something for all tastes. The main contact

It is obvious when you wander around this place that it was once a grand hotel, suited for royals. But today, even in a more mature state, the hotel retains plenty of style and charm. I loved the different rooms downstairs where you could read, listen to music or just relax.

Not a massive hotel but manages to give you a feeling of 'grandness'. Chandeliers, statues, ornate features all say we are not to be messed with, no new-fangled modernism here, and all the better for it. I noted several TA contributors downgraded it a little because of

Does this hotel have a swimming pool?
Hi! No swimming pool. They have an arrangement with beach lido across the street to the sea promenade. The lido has swimming pool. Best -jo

How long to walk to the train station from this hotel (without luggage I mean)?
I agree with others’ comments.15 to 20 minutes and use Via Leonardo da Vincii as Via vespuci is narrow in places. Make sure you validate your ticket at the machine on the platform after you have purchased it. Best way to explore the region and take in the views on the way.
