We were staying in Florence in September and decided to visit the coast so booked this hotel for one night in Viareggio and took the train from Florence which is direct and took 1.5 hours. Well worth it, we upgraded when we got there to get a bigger bed as we had booked a budget room with it being only...

We chose to stay at Hotel Katy after reading all the great reviews on Tripadvisor and we certainly were not disappointed. We had a very nice, spotlessly clean room on the top floor with our own private balcony opposite, with side sea view. We booked with Booking.com. through Tripadvisor. The breakfast was superb, supplying lovely fresh fruit, various cereals, cooked breakfast,different...

this is a very special family run hotel where nothing is too much bother. From being welcomed by Giorgia to her final goodbye at the end of my stay I felt totally at home. In an excellent situation just off the promenade and very quiet at night. Joy of joys I had a double bed, no falling out of bed...

We found the hotel receptionist very welcoming, and smiling when I attempted some Italian. Check in was pretty straightforward (also had to sort out and pay for parking because this hotel does not have its own - be warned). We must have had an "economy" room because it didn't match the pictures we'd seen. It was one of the smallest...

Stayed here in August. Lovely "quaint" family run hotel. A little on the dated side but very clean and well maintained. Lift doesn't stop exactly on each floor so had to carry our suitcases up 10 steps to get to the room. Handy fridge there but no tea/coffee facilities which was a shame. Breakfast was great. Only hot food was...

From the moment we booked this hotel, we knew it would be great. The staff could not be more helpful and spoke perfect English. Nothing was too much for them and all and everyone had a friendly smile every day. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was fabulous and the recommended beach (Maurizio) was...

Wonderful location with balcony from which we could view the sea. Clean with a good breakfast. Staff were very friendly, orienting us to the area, storing our bags as we arrived early and letting us change into our swimsuits so we could enjoy as much of the beach as possible. Great night, much appreciated as our previous hotel had been...

We stayed three people in one room and it was a great experience. The room was clean, no carpets on the floor and was cleaned every day. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit, fresh bread, egg and bacon and much more. Coffee served as you liked it. The day had a good start. The hotel was positioned very central to...
