For an American this is an experience you will never forget. They area is beautiful, cool in July and private. The furnishings are all from the 14th and 15th centuries. Gardens are in full bloom. Better have a small car if you are going to try to park.

The hotel is located entirely outside of the city of Verona, and unless you have a car there's absolutely no getting to it from downtown, the nearest airport, or the train station. Of course, this is part of its charm. The location is way up on one of the mountains surrounding the Verona lake and overlooking the city; the fact...

What an amazing spot! Perched on the top of the mountain it really is like a fairy tail castle! Enrica who owns the house in an absolutely charming host. Our room was the apartment at the bottom of the house which we did not book so was a lovely surprise.. It was spectacular. Very quirky and apparently built and painted...

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel very much. The owner is a very kind lady who helped us wherever she could. We had an amazing room with a breathtaking view. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We shared the bathroom with another room. But since we were the only guests it felt like having the whole floor just...

First, on the plus side: Signora Enrica is a charming, welcoming woman who speaks some English. But the reason we stayed here was the incomparable ratings and it just does not measure up to that. Our room actually was a one bedroom apartment that had to be accessed via an external entrance down a windy path that is muddy when...

Beautiful villa. The owner has incredible taste, the views are lovely and we easily stayed for two nights here and probably could have extended for another two without feeling bored. We hiked the chapels, ate dinner at Ristorante Montorfano and went into Vernase one day just because when we hiked down we weren't far from town and we saw a...

Spectacular interior design and an exceptionally warm welcome make this place something really special. Very close to the terminal of the funicolare from Varese. A vast park surrounds the villa. My children were very impressed by the venue, and the owner was really patient with them, (and the cat too). We took two rooms at the second floor, and we...

This B&B reflects the warm personality of its owner, Enrica, who opened her home to guests with the desire to meet people from all over the world. It is a bit hard to find - perched on the side of the Sacro Monte of Varese. My Garmin sent me through several very small villages to get there, but it is...

It's WOW when you get there and see the property. It's WOW when you see this architectural milestone of a house. It's WOW when you get inside and see the intricate design and furniture, and its WOW when you look out onto the valley below from your bedroom balcony. And when you get past all these WOWs, you find the...
