Todi is a charming hilltop town with narrow streets and alleys ideal for former centuries but challenging for today's couch potatoes. However the panoramic views from the square at the top of the lift which obligingly takes you up from the car park are stunning. The hotel is 2 minutes walk away. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much... More

We arrived at this hotel after a very stressful travel day. The staff was simply amazing, the room was quaint and clean and the restaurant downstairs was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel for any visit to Umbria!

We happened upon this hotel. Very clean. Wonderful receptionist. Rate 76 €. Fun pizzeria restaurant with wood burning oven. This small village is perched up in the hills. Must visit. Lots of shops and restaurants

Sure it was hard to get the a/c to go low enough to actually keep you cool, but the staff are some of the friendliest I have seen and the town allows for lots of introspection as you watch the sun down down over the Umbrian landscape. Be sure to wander the far reaches of the village for spectacular views... More

We spent five nights at this hotel, as a base for car trips around Umbria. It was a great location for that. It was also in a nice location in the town, as it is possible to drive to the front of the hotel and unload luggage, even though the actual parking is a bit of a climb/descent. There are... More

Ok.. We loved everything about the Hotel Fonte Cesia. That said, let me tell you why. The hotel is located in the historic center of Todi giving you access to many of the beautiful sites within town and easy access to the surrounding areas in Umbria. Our first impression came when we pulled up outside. Two of the women at... More

This is a traditional Italian 4 star hotel with rooms that are just a little better (some have baths, some are bigger, windows are good), with just a little bit better breakfast (fresh yogurt and fruit), and with a great patio for a lunch or aperitivo. Everything is a bit more modern and well kept than most comparable hotels in... More

On our drive back to Rome to catch our homeward bound flight, we wanted to stay in the region of Umbria for our last night in Italy. We love the hilltop towns, so we selected breathtaking Todi for our last special evening. Hilltop towns typically have parking lots below the towns. We had not made hotel reservations in Todi, so... Todi is a gorgeous unspoilt small town with astonishing views, stunning art and genuine food. Fonte Cesia is the place where you really want to stay during your Italian discovery. Charming, relaxing, delicious food, very nice and professional owners. They even helped me organise my daily trips in the area. I do recommend this place. Ask for Anna. Her love... More

This hotel has everything you want from the best of Italy. First - Todi is breathtaking. It should be a highlight of your trip to Italy. The hotel is in a perfect location perched on a tall hill overlooking the Tiber. It's within a very short walk to the piazza and the beautiful ancient cathedral built upon a medieval town.... More
