We were meeting three other couples at the Miramare for the hike up the volcano. Each of the 4 rooms we had had great views of the black sand beach (and water ship) of Ficogrande. The breakfast and breakfast terrace were excellent. They even had a storage room for our luggage as we chose to explore more of the island the... More

Great Eolian atmosphere in this white hotel on the black sand beach. Great service, they even prepared us a small breakfast and left in our room as we were leaving really early in the morning. Complimentary mini-shuttle to and from the pier for the Aliscafo. Room was perfect, clean, functionnal.

Hotel picked us up from the ferry port, so no hassle with luggage. We had room 6 with view of volcano one side and beach with light house on the other. Good value hotel which is spotlessly clean. Left us a take away breakfast and a lift back to the ferry early morning. Got to the ferry from Catania airport... More

We stayed one night and loved the terrace overlooking the black sand beach where breakfast was served or you could sit and have a drink. Our rooms were clean and well-equipped with TV, fridge, air conditioning and hairdryer. The hotel does not provide lunch or evening meals but there are plenty of options close by in the town centre. Free... More

Excellent. One of the greatest hotels i have been. You are on a real holiday when you walk into this hotel. Close to the beach and great view. Good basic breakfast with a view on the sea. The staf was very friendly andere kind to te people.

Stunning location on a black sand beach. Wonderful views, comfy rooms and welcoming staff. A perfect place to stay on this wonderful gem of an island. The volcano climb is a must do thing when you come to Stromboli. Not for the faint hearted but worth every second of the trip.

We enjoyed our 3 nights on Stromboli at the Miramare and it's hard to fault the hotel at all (apart from the paper-thin towels perhaps) but it does seem to be stuck in a bit of a time-warp! Breakfast is good but there is no other food, and they don't seem to serve alcohol after 10pm. It is however very... More

We were picked up by Franco in a yellow Ape at the port and taken to the hotel. The hotel is on the peaceful side of town, but I don't think there is a bustling side of town. Lilliana, Ann Marie and Franco are great staff as are the room cleaning people. (I probably screwed up the spelling) 2 days... More

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Met at port and taken to the hotel with bags. Room has own veranda looking over the sea. Away from the majority of restaurants and bars which may put some off. For me, I preferred the silence that it brought. And it's not as if anywhere is that long a walk anyway. And it's... More

We were picked up by the hotel from the port and the service was very friendly. When the boats were cancelled for 24 hours because of bad weather, the hotel were very helpful and booked us back in for an extra night as well as delivering us and our luggage to the port the following day. Lovely views although a... More
