We stayed at this borgo during a week with our baby. The place is beautiful and decorated with a clear attention to detail. Amazing location in the hills of Umbria. Swimming pool opened after a few days, which was a real plus. Restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner. The menu could offer more variety, especially if you eat there every...

Very upscale, but relaxing stay at this country resort. Nice break from the inner towns of Florence, Seina, Pienza and Cortona. You have your own little villa with a private outside covered terrace. There is a restaurant on site except closed on Tuesdays. The food is very good. The owner is on hand and makes sure the place is run...

We visited here as a wedding destination for friends who had hired the venue exclusively. The location is gorgeous in itself but the staff made it look really outstanding as a wedding venue with magical hanging candles in the trees and archways and brilliant flower arrangements that complimented the setting so well. It is in such a beautiful setting and...

Much better than expected! A very charming and confortable hotel in the country surrounded by beautiful medieval small villages! The hotel is ready to entertain with olive oil tasting, massages and yoga and a restaurant with very good organic food. The inviting beautifuly decorated lounges and the open garden made us wish we could stay longer than the three days...

We are on a walking holiday and were only able to stay at this wonderful place for one night. I'm astounded it is classed as a 3 star residence. It is beautifully situated and appointed, set amongst large gardens dotted variously with garden furniture or deckchairs. Wonder down through the vine covered pergola to the swimming pool which overlooks the...

We had the most wonderful stay at Borgo della Marmotta - from the serene garden and swimming pool to the superb lounge areas and the spacious, cosy room, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Some of the highlights of our stay were: the incredible local organic food cooked by Valentina (we returned to her restaurant 6 times...

My husband and I stayed at Borgo della Marmotta for 5 nights in early July. It was a little off the beaten path, but proved to be a slice of heaven in the Umbrian countryside. We took a short cab ride from the Spoleto train station, but nearly all the other guests we met had cars, which is a good...

If you have the chance to spend some days in the region of Umbria, try to make a stop in this place. The hotel is located in a tiny village so charming using stones from more then 5 centuries to make this place unique. Rooms are very large and the bathroom is so nice! The swimming pool is in a...
