This old girl sits atop a bluff overlooking the port. It is an easy shot by car to Santa Margherita, Repallo, and Porto Fino. They have a shuttle service to take guests to the train which will bring you to each of the Cinque Terra towns. Sure beats the hike among them. The Hotel is in good shape for its... More

Sadly we only had one night here as it is a magnificent place. The views are wonderful and buildings regal. The dining was amazing - dinner and breakfast. Our only complaint was that our air con wasn't working and reception just said there was nothing they could do - no options or solutions.

I was there in April. Beautiful location, the staff went out of their way to take care of me. I was robbed on the train and had nothing left! The staff helped me to recover. They let me use the only outgoing phone line to call American Express, the embassy, and others. I cannot say enough about all their kindness... More

This is a four star hotel that has it all, location, history and ambiance. The castle is located on a commanding hill in the middle of peninsula and the dates back to 1089. The building are masterfully preserved and renovations to the rooms are superb. The property boasts a private park, restaurant, parking, convention center, and a natural pool. There... More

We stayed two nights in the hotel. After going through a case to access the elevator to reach the hotel, it is three buildings at the top of the peninsular overlooking Sestri Levante and the Med. The hotel is short walk from town with many many shops of high quality to visit. The rooms were generous in size with thick... More

Avoid coming to Sestri Levante in the high season. Leave it to noisy tourists, and thousands of cars. Delightful in spring and autumn. Hotel is situated on a hill, overlooking the town and sea. Spaceous parking, good restaurant and bar. Suites in main castle stylish. A steep walk down to town. Will come back. Alternatives: Villa Balbi lovely, but has... More

Great location with a large terrace for watching the sunset while wine tasting. Breakfast was substantial and in a nice setting with more views. Some old historic charm in all of the rooms we saw. The elevator is tiny and slow, but not a worry.

This hotel was recommended by our tour operator and our expectations were not only met, but were exceeded! It is located at the top of a big hill/small mountain overlooking the sea and the wonderful town of Sestri Levante, conveniently located half way between Portofino and Cinque Terra. The highly rated hotel restaurant was where we enjoyed our first night's... More

We trekked up a long, steep hill with our luggage only to learn when we reached the registration desk that 1) an elevator was available from street level and 2) a car would have come get us at the train station upon request. Unfortunately, we did not learn of this in advance. Further, the elevator kept going in and out... More
