This is a great hotel, with great staff, great facilities and a great restaurant. The Sesto region is an incredible area if one loves the mountains, and the Hotel St Veit takes advantage of this. Great views from the patio /lounge. My room was very spacious, ultra modern and comfortable. Large flat screen tv, a bath tub with a separate shower, great WiFi and kept very clean. The pool and sauna facilities were kept very well and water temp was perfect. One can only do so much with CoVid, but they did very well. The masseuse was very good and friendly. I would recommend a massage. Breakfast was very good, but dinner was a crowning event. The dishes that came out of the kitchen would rival many Michelin starred restaurants. There were very few dishes I was not not ecstatic about, but they were just very good. The personnel from the owners to the bar and wait staff were very professional and friendly, I could not ask for more. They were knowledgeable about the area, the menu, the bar and never seemed too busy to have a conversation. They tried to satisfy all requests. My reasons for a half star demerit? With breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner, there were buffets. Only one platter per item would be brought out per meal. So, if someone arrived 1/2 hour later for
a meal and the buffet platters were empty, they would not be refilled. Such a shame because the quality of food was incredible The sauna area offered very hot tea and not any cold beverages. and least; bar prices were a little inflated
I will definitely return to the St Veit!

We've viseted Sesto for the fifth time. This family run hotel is definetely the best. You get a fantastic cuisine served for breakfast and dinner. The welness with a pool and saunas is very stylish. However the most important is the friendly staff. We are coming back next year for sure.

A family-run hotel, run with seamless efficiency. We stayed in a Swallow's Nest suite for ten days in July 2018. The spacious room has breath-taking views across the Dolomites, and a large balcony with seating.
The hotel is scrupulously clean; rooms are beautifully appointed. There is a good-sized indoor pool with seating area, sauna, and gym. Massage and beauty treatments are available. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The staff without exception are friendly and helpful. Languages spoken include German, Italian and English. Special mentions must go to housekeeping, and to wait staff Jacopo and Lucrezia for their professionalism, humour and conversation! We enjoyed every moment of our stay, and hope to visit again some time.

It's rare to find a 4-star hotel that is family-run and the combination of luxury and friendliness was fantastic for us. Our room (a "Swallow's Nest" suite) was incredibly comfortable, with lots of wood furnishings in keeping with the Alpine surroundings. The bathroom was beautiful and the view from the balcony was stunning. There was even a separate room for the wardrobe!

The food each night was fantastic, usually spread over 5 or 6 courses including a salad buffet and a cheese course. Breakfasts were great as well and in the afternoon there is a buffet of cake and/or cheese/charcuterie for guests who need to fill up after a day of exertions in the mountains.

The owners' daughter is a mountain guide and leads walks for guests once or twice a week and there are also guided mountain bike tours. Hire of bikes was included in the room price which I found really helpful and helped me to cover a lot of the surrounding area on two wheels. We arrived by train to nearby San Candido and were picked up & dropped off at either end of our holiday.

I didn't use the spa facilities but my wife really enjoyed them and thought they were a really good standard.

The only downside I can see if it's quite a steep walk up to the hotel from the bottom of the ski runs and on a skiing holiday it'd be hard work at the end of the day if you didn't have a car.

I think we'll definitely be back.

We are very happy about your appraisal, thank you very much for it! It's great that you enjoyed your stay in our house, that's our greatest acknowledgement! We would be happy to welcome you again - also in the winter season. Starting from december 2014 we have a new connection of our two ski circuits Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa. To go to Monte Elmo you can start directly from our house - we have a small private slope and you can come back in the hotel without taking off your ski. You have to try it.. We are waiting for you!

We stayed at the St Veit for the first - but surely not the last - time when on a three week roadtrip in Austria and northern Italy. We had booked a week in Sexten, and the stay exceeded all our expectations. We were overwhelmed with the high level of quality and service. The staff is extremely friendly and the owners have not failed in creating a truly cosy atmosphere. We were at half board which was good value for money. An excellent and extensive breakfast, an afternoon cake buffet and a five course dinner were all included, as was the use of the very nice wellness area. I will give extra points for the decision to separate the sauna and relax areas from the indoor swimmingpool, and for allowing children in the pool only. That way the spa really becomes a place to relax. Children were not forgotten; there was a playroom and a Kino showing movies for the small ones. At the meals, extra attention was given to potential allergies, and any special requests, such as glutenfree or laktosfree meals, were happily catered for. Our room had a large balcony with a beautiful mountain view. Waking up looking out of the window from the bed was a wonderful experience each and every morning.
Alpenwellness St. Veit is highly recommended and we are already looking forward to our next stay there.

What a wonderful stay. Very friendly with delicious food. Guided walks from the hotel were enjoyable although the steep climbs were hard work! Avoided using the hire car all week, with walks direct from hotel or using free shuttle bus. We decided the Three Peaks walk from the hotel would be too much for us, so took the bus trip which can be booked online, and then took a less busy hiking route around the peaks recommended by the hotel. Highly recommend the hotel and location.
