Not worth 4* imho and a bit pricey for a 3*. May be OK for climbers but lacks charm for passing tourists like us. Rooms in the main building may be nicer than the suite we had in the annex. That looked OK on the surface but showed its age here and there. Nice woody atmosphere but lots of wear-and-tear marks, stained carpet, clunky cupboard doors, tired mattress, cooking corner but no equipment to cook. The bar is nice but tiny, the adjacent lounge is loud and not too cozy, the dining room unimpressive though cuisine was OK. Above all the entrance hall was open all day front and back with cold air blowing through it all time ... not enticing after driving a day to get there.

Hotel is situated on a pass, in a nice, quiet setting with almost no other houses nearby. Hotel is in classic alpine style with that specific nice wood odor in it. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Bathroom also nice, spacious and clean. I would maybe add one little shelf inside the shower for a sponge or similar. We got clean towels every day, and were given bathrobes with no extra charge. Apples, chocolate and water are waiting in the room. Very important - they have very good beds! No backache after sleeping :) Breakfast is excellent, everything you can think of (from cereals and fruits to cheese and croissants). Dinner even better- a 4 course dinner in which you can choose which main meal you want. The 7 days we have been there we never had something that did not taste excellent. Good wine offer. I would recommend local wine Lagrein (apperently best from the region). Staff excellent!! Very friendly and helpful. Pool and jacuzzi and saunas are in the hotel’s additional house next to it. Also very nice and clean, but since it is a child friendly hotel I recommend switching to sauna area when kids come to the pool if you want to relax :) amazing view from the hotel to the mountains. A lot of trails start from there so you can go hiking or cycling. Hotel offers e-bike renting (40€ for the whole day). All in all we werevery satisfied and are plannning to come back for the winter too!

We were driving from Venice to Salzburg and came over the pass around lunch time. They have a largish parking lot. The food was good. The service was friendly. The Bar, where we ate was very cozy. It was very clean.

Beautiful, clean and very well maintained hotel with excellent food We had a spacious family room, with two bedrooms, two (huge) bathrooms, big living room and a balcony. Lots of cabinets. Furnished practical and with taste. Very clean, every day. Children play room is spacious enough and surprisingly well equipped. New, safe, bright, interesting, educational and with friendly animator. Restaurant and bar are superb in every sense. The food is in line with top restaurants (diversity, taste, look…) and is a pure pleasure. In the morning we had the best eggs ever (made by chef in front of you, with ingredients you choose at sight) and every evening we were delightedly surprised with the menu and the form of the menu (e.g. sometimes all served, sometimes meat buffet, sometimes desert buffet…). Naturally, there is also a separate kids’ menu. Day break by the bar fire place, overlooking the slope and drinking excellent coffee or cocktail, for me was a real treat. The swimming pool is big enough and surprisingly deep. The whole area is clean and pleasant. The skiing is in front of the hotel. We had a bad luck with the amount of snow, so this hotel-slope was disconnected from the rest of the skiing slopes. There is a ski-shuttle in front of the hotel, but we were going by car to Sesto (gondola to Helm peak). A little bit of inconvenience, but it was worth a while. This skiing area is amazing! Slopes are maintained perfectly, no ice, not snow, no strange elevations. There are no big crowds, slopes are mainly wide and with a lot of sun. We had a wide range of slopes to enjoy with kids and to learn skiing techniques. There are also lots of children play grounds for outdoor/snow playing. We really had a perfect family holiday
