I called to make a reservation for a group and they answer my email so unpolite. Then i call to know why at first they had acepted my reservation and then they changed their mind. A man answer me that they sold the rooms and he didnt want to talk more about it. And then he hanged up the phone. They were so unpolite. I would never go there.

Response from Gianpiero Vinatzer, Direttore generale at Hotel Corona Krone
Responded Sep 16, 2021
Sorry to read this that has been written as it is not the whole truth! The first request was for 6 double rooms and 1 single from Saturday to Saturday in February 2022 for 7 nights after we made the offer, the group wanted to book 5 double rooms + 2 double rooms for single use for 6 nights with departure on Friday. We would have lost about € 2,800.00 between the early departure and the 2 double single use, not having singles available. We said quietly and without discussion that it was not possible. The rude will be you who without having been our Guest wants to judge a Hotel without us knowing it or having used our service. Next time you think that writing an untrue thing ruins the reputation of a business and that what you wrote remains forever!

Just returned from a solo ski trip and found this hotel via the tourist information website. What a great little hotel. Excellent staff who were always quick to help, very clean and comfortable room in typical alpine style, good food and an outstanding location for skiers with the two main “Sellaronda” access lifts mere metres from the hotel in either direction and the piste ending directly across the road. There is a very nicely designed wellness area with sauna, steam and hot tub. The only downside as some others have mentioned is that there is a very popular nightclub downstairs so if you’re an “early to bed” type then try to ask for a quiet room, high up at the back.

We spent 8 nights in mid-September at the Hotel Krone Corona on a half board basis and our stay was perfect in every way. Our spacious and very comfortable suite was immaculately cleaned daily. We requested an electric kettle when we booked and it was in the room on arrival. We never tired of the wonderful view from our balcony. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, it was always service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast had many choices of meats, cheese, cereals, jams, cakes, fruit, etc. The crusty bread was especially good. Our half board dinners consisted of a salad/vegetable buffet and then 3 courses. We were unable to eat everything every night as there was only so much food we could manage. We found the location to be excellent as we didn't have a car and used the very reliable buses to travel around Val Gardena. The main bus stop in Selva (Piazza Nives) was always very crowded but there's a bus stop just around the corner from the Hotel Krone called Stella which never had many people waiting and it was much better to board there when heading towards Ortesei as it's before the Piazza Nives stop.

Recently spent three very enjoyable nights at this lovely hotel. The rooms are large, clean and very well appointed. The shower in our room was excellent after a day in the hills. The hotel's bar is very cosy and very popular. It also does excellent sandwiches and light meals at very good prices. The hotel has a wellness centre which is well appointed but there is no gym; if it's exercise you want you will find your fill outdoors. All-in-all a good place to stay.

It was a bit hard to get our room cool enough without letting in the noise from the band, and the front desk person wasn't overly friendly, but Esther & Milan in the dining room were the absolute best ever, the room and bathroom was large, and the sauna, steam room and other spa amenities made our stay just perfect.

This is a cozy little hotel. No internet in the rooms. Only in the lobby. Well heated. Big buffett breakfast. Great value for money. Nice staff. Comfortable beds and soft pillows. Towels are a bit old.

There are a lot of hotels in Selva. But Corona is definitely excellent place. Location - really close to Ciampinoi lift and just a second from nice apres ski and bar. Clean, spacious and lovely rooms with ladina touch. Excellent staff in lobby and restaurant. Wellness with Finish sauna and Witarium - super, not mentioned jazuzzi and Turkish Bath. Anything I would add to the hotel practices? Some vegetables to colazione :-)

We stayed at this hotel whilst attending a conference in Selva in low season. The hotel is really conveniently located for all local activities. The wellness spa is excellent with a very vigorous jacuzzi! Bed was comfy and bathroom was super clean. Staff friendly and helpful. It has an onsite bar which also serves cups of tea at 9pm at night which was supremely welcome. It is a full member of Val Gardena Active which means that you can do Active activities free of charge or heavily discounted which is a lovely bonus and meant that I was more stretched by the guided walks from local experts than I might have otherwise been had I just completed self directed ones! Another bonus of the resort is the free bus ticket valid for a week. Do ask for one, buses are frequent and run on time.
