Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Hotel Continental, travelling with “Inghams”, for a week’s walking in the fantastic Dolomites.
The Continental is well situated in an elevated situation overlooking the town of Selva, but with easy access to trails, lifts and local buses. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. We had a great room on the second floor and the balcony had super views over the town and down the valley. Room was spacious and very comfortable and presented and maintained daily to a high standard.
Lovely cosy Bar / Lounge for coffees and drinks. Excellent hearty breakfast with wide choice to really set you up for a day on the go in the mountains. Dinner each day was very good with a varied choice and the staff were very accommodating if you wanted any “variations”. Good wine list with a leaning to local South Tyrol wines and reasonable prices. We never left the restaurant anything other than very happy.
Hotel spa was great for recovering and relaxing for an hour after a day in the mountains - very good quality and maintained to a high standard daily. The Bio and Finnish Saunas and the Steam Room were great for aching bones in particular. Never overly busy.
This Hotel certainly met and exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend it - we would certainly choose it again if returning to Selva, which is very likely given the great walking and scenery.

This was our second ski holiday in Val Gardena and Hotel Continental. This time we had next two grand children with us. Continental is practically ski in ski out. Cross the street and you are on the slopes. Next winter we will be back again. We prefer Italy because four star hotels in Austria cannot compete italian hotels when we sit down to dine. Also for small children. Continental offers you gourmet. Hotel rooms are spacy. Of course you get the friendly service you need.

6 of us stayed for a week at the Hotel Continental.
The service was brilliant, the staff fantastic, the facilities were good, but the ski locker room was exceptional.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they quickly knew the sorts of drinks we would want at the bar.
The views down the valley were incredible, blessed as we were with 6 days of sunshine.

My husband and I loved our stay here. The owner works at the front and takes great care of guests. This was one of our favorite stays out of 4 different hotels on our Europe trip. The family run hotel is cleaner, nicer, and has more amenities than half the US hotels today. It’s located right across the street from the Danterceipes gondola. We stayed during at end of summer but I am sure this would also be a great location during ski season. We visited the spa with saunas and whirlpool while here and also enjoyed drinks at the bar and the five course dinner our last night. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to stay while exploring the Dolomites! It’s really close to a lot of great gondolas/hikes/ski runs

Great location. Best ski hotel I have ever been. The staff was amazing. They were very welcoming, polite and helpful. They made our every request happen right away. Guest rooms were very clean and spacious. The ski room was very convenient, roomy and clean. There were outstanding menu of gourmet food for breakfast and dinner. Service was just perfect. We were 6 family stayed for a week and every single one of us were rated as 10/10. We definitely want to back again.

Lovely, nice hotel, just 15 minutes walk from the town center.
Our room was very good and had a nice view.
The wellness and SPA area with swimming pool and sauna was very clean and comfortable, it met the hotel's specifications.
The breakfast buffet is good and plentiful. The restaurant exceeded our expectations, it had a rather extensive and varied menu and excellent, well-presented dishes.
All in all, very good food and nice quiet rooms.
Staff and employees of the hotel, all very friendly and very helpful.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Continental. Our hosts and all the staff were friendly and cheerful. The hotel is exceptionally clean, as is the spa. And they have a billiards room! We loved our cleaning lady—she was so cheery and did an excellent job cleaning the room! The views from our room were amazing! It was snowing when we arrived on Sept 13th. We took a cab from the station in Bolzano to the hotel—about a 45 min drive. Little did we know that the hotel sits next to the Dantercepies gondola—which is where you start skiing the Sellaronda. We had already booked a room there for a week in February 2025. You get free bus passes with your room, but we found a friendly taxi driver and used it instead. Because of the snow, we were unable to hike Seceda the first time we went there, but we were able to hike it yesterday. Great views, but it was kind of like seeing the multitude of climbers on Mount Everest! But there are other wonderful hikes that are much less populated. The meals at the hotel were delicious and creative. We are looking forward to returning in February!

Fab hotel with wonderful staff and great food. A week skiing with nearly ski-in and ski-out was made perfect by Christian’s team at the hotel. There is a great spa for the ski-weary leg to recover, followed by amazing dinner. The staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Will definitely return. Thanks all.

We stayed a week at the hotel and are blown away from its service and quality.
We received a large room with a sleeping sofa for our teenager which was of good quality. The room is spacious and it never got too crowded to stay 3 there.
The family is extremely knowledgeable about the area and what is worth looking at.
The cleaning is great and the same applies for the service in their restaurant. We only had breakfast and this was the most complete breakfast I have had in Italy. High quality and always plenty.
We will return to this beautiful hotel again in future

After a surprising and difficult lockdown experience in France .... and before a new unexpected one in November we are even more appreciating our second experience in this nice Hotel. We like out of city center positioning and direct access to Dantercepies or Vallelunga for trecking. Management and staff very welcoming , excellent Italian dinners , very confortable room , all conditions met for outstanding summer vacations. Thank you so much.
