Excellence in the details This hotel is exactly what it claims; small and charming. Great breakfast, rooms that leaves nothing to be wanted. The hosts are ever present and makes sure you are provided for in every detail. Billiard and chess in case you get bored, which is bloody unlikely, given the central location in Selva. Just a couple of minutes from the lifts that takes you up into the magnificent Dolomites. So this hotel comes warmly recommended.
Just left the hotel where we had the most amazing 6 nights family ski holiday. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome fulfilling every request, however big or small. The rooms were spacious and to top standards, The food was delicious, with my gluten allergy not being an issue at all!!! Thanks so much to Gregor and his staff for the most enjoyable holiday!!!!!
It is our third year returning to Hotel Laurin. We absolutely love the welcome and personal service that Gregor, Astrid and their wonderful sons provide. Every year they greet us with open arms. They are a really wonderful family who we adore and nothing is too much trouble! The location of the hotel is so central both for the lifts and shops. The hotel itself is so beautifully fitted out and the rooms are spotlessly clean and modern. The food is outstanding. Last year the food was unbeatable but somehow this year it had gone up another level! They provide a truly gastronomic experience in a relaxed informal setting. Both dinner and breakfasts are exceptional. We have three kids who are 14, 13 and 8 years old who are accommodated every time. We don’t eat meat however they always have fantastic fish and vegetarian alternatives which are delicious and no trouble to prepare. The swimming pool and spa are perfect and we love the massage jets in the pool after a long day skiing! We look forward to again returning soon. Thank you Gregor and Astrid and family for all your care and kindness. Stephen and Katherine Bellau and family. 😊…
I was fortunate enough to have an Italian grandmother. You too can feel that warmth, love, "nothing is too much to ask" hospitality when you stay with Astrid, Gregor, and their sons Marco and Carlo at the fantastic Hotel Laurin. They will wrap you in their arms and make you feel like you are their long lost relatives from the US. The hotel is impeccably detailed...cleaned top to bottom all day, rooms immaculately prepared every day, extra towels brought in in the afternoon. It is a visually stunning hotel. Frankly, the photos of the website can not begin to capture how classy this hotel is with the muted gray/black colors, dark tile and carpet throughout. Wow! The wellness center alone is worth booking a stay here. Three types of sauna, infrared, steam, herbal, Jacuzzi to say nothing of the jetted heated pool that you could lap swim in if you so desired. Fantastic. The breakfast buffet was a feast for the eyes and palette. The nightly dinners...sublime. A fine local grappa or local wine after dinner in the beautifully appointed bar...heavenly! All of this and you are literally steps from the lifts that will wisk you up to the most astounding skiing you'll ever experience. In case you hadn't figured yet...we'll be back soon! ps. The New Year's gala was just stupendous. Freshly shucked oysters, caviar, beef tartare prepared before your eyes...bottomless Prosecco! Oh...then dinner!!!…
Stayed for a weeks ski ing. Can quite honestly say that this is the best alpine Hotel we have stayed in. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff are very attentive. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. The location is excellent with the lifts no more than a minutes walk.
Returning to the Hotel Laurin for a week of skiing was fantastic! As usual the quality of the rooms and the facilities was perfect. But more importantly the service from the staff and the owners is what really makes a stay at the Laurin a wonderful experience, they can't do enough to help their guests. The wellness facilities are particularly good, and the bar and restaurant are both also excellent. Highly recommended for both winter and summer.
At check in we were greeted warmly and we’re pleasantly surprised to be given a complimentary room upgrade to a deluxe room. Everything at this hotel is done to an extremely high standard. Warm hospitality, cleanliness, impeccable style, classic fabrics and finishes. The bedding was 5 stars. At breakfast the husband and wife team of owners and Laura served us graciously. The breakfast offerings were endless and all of a high standard and extremely fresh. We were addressed by name through our stay which added a personal touch without being stuffy. We spent 2 nights and totally enjoyed the property from our restful balcony overlooking the green hillside and red gondolas. We enjoyed lounging in the private garden next to the steam. The location was perfect for us with an easy 5 minutes stroll to the town center. The bus stop was just opposite the hotel. We stayed in quite a few hotels in this trip through Switzerland and Northern Italy and Hotel Lauren is definitely our favorite!!…
What a wonderful place to stay in this region due to the location, facilities and definitely the hosts Gregor and Astrid. You feel truly at home in their hotel, great attention to detail and care. We loved their hospitality and property. Breakfast amazing and loved the hotel overall. Nice spa pool and facilities. Samantha & Paul ( Netherlands)
Gregor and Astrid did everything to make us feel at home during our June stay at Hotel Laurin. They went above and beyond all expectations. From wonderful breakfasts to afternoon kuchen and aperitivo to nightcaps following a wonderful day of hiking, the atmosphere and hospitality could not be better. We enjoyed it so much we are booking a special return trip in September.
This is a family-hotel as it should be! It started off well even before we arrived. We booked relatively late (2 weeks before arrival) two double rooms for us and our teenager kids, and we got an upgrade to the Junior Suite for the same price, because we couldn't get 2 rooms close to each other. From the moment you arrive, the service and attention to detail is really amazing. Both the owners (who run the hotel) and the personel are extremely friendly and they always address you by your name, which is a nice touch. We went in summer, and they don't serve dinner then, but there's plenty of great restaurants in the neighborhood. The breakfast on the other hand is really amazing. The choice is really great. Cereals, meat & cheese, marmelades, pastries, bread, fruit, pancakes, eggs, anything you want and all top quality. The same top quality as the rooms themselves, the beds, the bathroom. It really feels like being at home abroad. And then there's the indoor swimming pool and fitness room (with Technogym equipment). And finally there's free parking behind the hotel. This really is a fabulous hotel which I can recommend for 100%…
