Big hotel along the seashore of Scalea. Probably built in the early sixtees and never modernised. You could call that vintage or retro. Lot of things don't work like the elevator, blowdryer and WiFi for example. Room was spacious but along a very busy road, could not sleep without earplugs! Staff is helpfull but there was only one woman speaking... More

I was horrified to find out that you don't have designated NON SMOKING ROOMS. My visit in September was surprisingly tried to put us in a room filled with smoke smell. They did put us in another room that was acceptable but we immediately gave the ashtray that we found in the room to someone from the front desk. I... More

Elevator doesn't work. Bait and switch photos-they have a second building across the street, away from the beach. View is out on the main, busy street. Loud, beeping non-stop traffic. Why stay here? It is a layover for us on our way back to Rome airport. We thought we would have a view, if nothing else. Hah! Did I mention... More

Dear Guest, we are sorry of reading about your stay... but we are surprised too! We think to know who you are and we know that, before your check-in, our General Manager has showed you the rooms available... as far as we know that were not elevators out order!!! Each time our guests go to the reception for a complaint,... More

This hotel is in a beautiful, but impoverished, part of Italy. The decor is dated and tired but the hotel is clean and has some good facilities. The staff are all lovely, kind and friendly: much more important than trendy decor. The food was plentiful and good. Tips: take a swimming hat if you want to use the pool, and,if... More

We stayed at this property from 9/07/14 till 9/17/14 at the main hotel and enjoyed our time. The food was excellent, plentiful and the chief, headwaiter and associated staff were unbelievably professional and attentive. The food was like a gastro feast every night, plentiful and delicious. The bar personnel were attentive and very friendly to be around, quick, attentive and... More

First of all if you have to stay there, make sure you stay in the main building, they have 24 hours air conditioning. If you stay across the street, you get there underground through a tunnel with the worst elevators I have ever seen. The air conditioning is controlled by the building & it shut's off at 4:00 am. you... More

Firstly the good points. Free, secure parking. And now the bad points: Firstly I should say that this entire town was chosen at random being roughly half way between Naples and the ferry for Sicily. It was only supposed to be a bed for the night and in that respect it worked well. Although not particularly cheap. It was when... More
