We were at this hotel 2 weeks ago. I can't answer most of your questions but I can tell you that our travel agent booked two all day tours for us before we left home. One was Capri and one was Pompeii. Pompeii was an hour or so away (can't remember exactly) so I don't know how easy it would be to get to if you were not on a tour, but I can tell you we wished we had gone on our own because we felt SO rushed. It is a fascinating place. Requires a minimum of half day.
I don't recall any markets nearby. There is a restaurant across the street and I think we passed a deli type place about 1/2 mile away when we were walking into town but we did not go in so can't guarantee what they have.
I agree; the kids are too young to bring. If you stay at Hotel Corallo you'll be doing alot of walking. To get to Sorrento, which is a fun filled town with lots to see, they provide a shuttle every hour. To walk is... More
I agree; the kids are too young to bring. If you stay at Hotel Corallo you'll be doing alot of walking. To get to Sorrento, which is a fun filled town with lots to see, they provide a shuttle every hour. To walk is probably a good mile. I don't think there will be much to keep the kids occupied no matter where you stay.
Enjoy Sorrrento, Amalfi and be sure to get to Rivallo!
