Me and my partner stayed here in August 2022. The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful and friendly. Upon arrival an older gentleman helped us to our room with our bags. Rooms are on the smaller side but perfectly fine, they were cleaned every day which was nice. The breakfast was also enjoyable but simple. About 20 min walk from Sorrento centre but there is a train just 5 min walk away for a few euros, it is easily walkable but the paths are very narrow. Good location for the bus to Positano and train to Pomepii and Naples. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
Booked the holiday only a month before departure. A week before the off I stumbled across some video reviews on YouTube. The first titled “Horror Hotel” and naturally panicked. Thankfully the jet2 representative I spoke to put my mind at rest and suggested I ignored any reviews and made my own mind up. They also provide a 24hour emergency number should there be any problems. Nothing could have been further from the truth, the hotel was great. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The food was plentiful and if anything they gave us a little too much! This is a family run hotel and every member of staff are a real joy. In particular the two Franco’s were superb. The elder of the two was a real character and always made my wife and daughters feel very special as he kissed their hands every time they passed him in reception while also telling them how beautiful they were, a real smoothie! The bar area, pool, restaurant and reception are very smart and the stunning rooftop terrace is great for taking in the sunset each evening with brilliant views of vasuvious. I would definitely stay here again in this very special place, literally nothing was too much trouble and the price was great only £650pp half board BARGAIN!…
The hotel is ideally situated to visit the sites via rail or bus, Sorrento is within walking distance or by train. Local transport is safe and cheap. The hotel is family run and the rooms are probably the cleanest we’ve ever stopped in, cleaned daily by Giuseppina and Tatiana The food is fresh and adequate if your stay is half board and will save you money should you wish to eat out more lavishly, Franco make no mistake is in charge of the restaurant and will often tell you where to sit,I found him to be a very charming funny character ! Luigi on reception is eve-ready to help. This is a family run hotel and everyone of them , invests a lot of personal time and effort to ensure the guests enjoy and are comfortable with their stay, something which I think they have achieved Would definitely recommend…
The hotel is in a good location, near train station into Sorrento centre(trains every few minutes, only 1 Euro 40 one way) we were picked up from our transfer and driven to hotel, about 2 minutes away.We we’re given a welcome glass of Prosecco on arrival and efficiently checked in. This is a family run hotel and the staff were very helpful, nothing too much trouble. This hotel like a lot in Italy have waiter service in the restaurant, this was not great, the 2 waiters were a bit ‘sloppy’.You have to select your evening meal at breakfast, a choice of 4 starters and 4 main course. We arrived on the Monday evening and were able to make our choice! Our starters were pasta served on cold plates, the main course wasn’t even palatable. Battered chicken with potatoes and carrots, pork escalope which was mainly fat served with the same veg. The breakfast was a buffet but it had limited choice, a lot of processed products and coffee was terrible. The evening meal on Tuesday improved slightly but still served on cold plates and poor presentation, we didn’t get a choice of sweet, we were just handed a plate or bowl with chopped up fruit, ice cream or Tiramisu.A lot of the food was towards the cheap end, the hotel was 3 star with Jet2 but had 4 stars on hotel sign! The hotel was refurbished in 2017 and was nicely decorated throughout, the only thing lacking was atmosphere, the restaurant is in the basement next to kitchen, no windows, the tables were laid up and cleared efficiently but not what were have been used to. We didn’t have any great expectations for this hotel on arrival and for the price, but during the week we got use to it. Most British guests had at least one or two meals out, the Italian hiking group which was staying the week on a set menu didn’t mind the food, at least they brought a bit of atmosphere - even though we couldn’t understand them. If you want a reasonably priced hotel near Sorrento I would recommend it, just don’t go half board-eat out. Also be aware that the train line runs right past hotel, it didn’t bother us and the trains stop after 10.30…
Had 10 nights here with my wife. If you want good value, clean hotel throughout, friendly staff who go out of their way to help you then come here. Yes, you will get the moaners out there and yes I’ve seen their reviews but come on, you want 5 star then pay for 5 star elsewhere. It is worthy of its rating and I would give it more. The rooms are cleaned each day. The food was adequate and Wi-Fi good. For the price it ticked all the boxes. Staff are great.
The hotel is in a good location, in close proximity to transport links and the beach. Everything was very clean and tidy, with a lovely roof terrace where you can see Mount Vesuvius. Nice food and lovely family. Can’t fault a single thing. Would definitely like to return.
A most enjoyable stay made better by the wonderful staff. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff work tirelessly to make your holiday. Maria the concierge couldnt do enough for us aided by christian and franco. Luigi the hotel manager was just as helpful, thak you to you all and we hope to return very soon
Brilliant find, hotel just out of Sorrento. Very clean and welcoming. Staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best holiday possible.Luigi and his family worked very hard to maintain an extremely high standard. A good size air-conditioned room with a king size bed and large private balcony, in our experience overlooking the pool. The food was very good, fresh local produce and served by more hard working friendly staff. Ideal location to visit all the main attractions. Again Luigi was able to advise and help us plan our excursions. Thank you everyone at Hotel Club. We plan to return.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a week and found it to be great. A lovely little family run hotel, all the staff were helpful and so friendly! Yes the shower was tiny and the rooms aren't the biggest but they often aren't in Italy! Room was cleaned every day and it was kept spotless. Breakfast was great. We only ate there once on an evening as we like to be out and about and try local places but what we had was good. Pool was fab, so nice to come back after a long day and cool off! Perfect location; train station just down the road, supermarket, bars and restaurants nearby. Would recommend restaurants Calise and Moonlight and the wine bar round the corner that did charcuterie and the best little desserts! We would stay here again.
We loved this place! A great district away from the crowds of Sorrento - real Italian life! The hotel is traditional and authentic and clean and the food is hearty and Italian! We were never disappointed with either choice or quality. The people make a place however and the owner with his wonderful team made us so welcome and sad to leave. Thank you all!
