Beautiful, charming property with fantastic gardens, pool and beach side area. It's not a modern hotel so don't expect "Wynn style Vegas features", but it's just got a great feel to the place. Good location slightly away from the bustle of Sorrento but only a short walk away.

We were at Grand Hotel Cocumella for part of our 10th anniversary trip. We had honeymooned in Sorrento -- one of our favorite places of all time -- at the Grand Hotel Royal, and I was terrified Cocumella would not live up to our experience there. I had nothing to worry about. This hotel was even better. First, it is... More

I have not a single good thing to review about this hotel. 5 stars? Maybe 10 years ago. Upon arriving at this hotel around 2 pm, our room was not ready for us. Since we were traveling all morning, I was very hungry and asked about options for eating. The concierge said we could get food at the pool bar... More

Cocumella is the quintessential 5-star hotel. Luxurious and sumptuous (by European, not American, standards! Beware!). Impeccable. Service by experienced and loving staff, from pool to room, to dining and bar, to front desk and Guiseppe, the best concierge in Southern Italy. Interesting (a former 18th Century monetary) on the cliffs of the Sorrentine Peninsula, overlooking Bay of Naples Delicious. Restaurants... More

Accommodating, understanding, conscientious, tasteful, gorgeous, welcoming, enjoyable, relaxing, interesting, fresh, exciting! So much to say about this hotel. It certainly has a beautiful style and charm about it. From the decor and the surroundings, to the delightful staff! Me and my partner decided to finish up our Italian travels with 6 relaxing days in Sorrento, and I'm glad that we... More

My husband, 17-year old daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in July in order to explore this area of the Amalfi coast and were completely delighted. The hotel is the oldest one in Sorrento dating back to the 17th century when it was a Jesuit monastery. And its location perched atop the cliffs of St.... More

We luckily missed the busy season but did find some sun. The hotel was quiet and we felt as if the whole villa was ours. The views were stunning and staff friendly - continental breakfast was a little boring. I do wish they offered a buffet instead but..

Fabulous hotel with the most incredible service. We stayed for a three day mini break and left feeling as though we had been away for a breakfast is served outside on the terrace each morning with bright coloured table cloths and napkins. Delicious pastries are brought to your table, along with freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade marmalade. The coffee... More

We stayed at this beautiful property June 2016. Our travel agent actually suggested it. Our stay there was fantastic! They provide a shuttle service into town which makes things very convenient. The shuttle driver was funny and made the 3 min ride tons of fun. The property itself is stunning. We had 2 connecting rooms (we are a family of... More

Beautiful hotel on the cliffs of Sorrento: with a poolside restaurant serving fresh stone baked pizzas and two other restaurants offering more formal dining options. The pool is huge and you never have to worry about getting a sun lounger. The clientele is of mixed nationality and never over bearing or loud. The hotel certainly welcomes kids but not sure...
