We spent a week in the Dolomites recently. Rather than dash from one spot to the next, we settled on a home base in Santa Cristina. The Villa Otto is outstanding with very accomodating hosts, the Mussner Family. Bedroom, kitchen/dining/living/bathroom with heated floor. We ate breakfasts in our apartment and fixed half our dinner meals there. We got a free bus pass that entitled us to travel throughout the Dolomites. Mattias gave us a nice geographical, historical, and cultural overview of this region of Italy. He was happy to help point us in the right direction when we got off course or make suggestions. The price was very reasonable; the location very accessible to the trails we wanted to hike (bus takes you right there); and the Dolomites are spectacular. We were warmly welcomed, and upgraded gratis to a larger apartment because of availability. Our hosts shared recommendations for hiking and dining - especially helpful as we were visiting during an off period where skiing was done and summer hiking had not yet begun. Our hosts also allowed us to use the laundry, which was a big help. Villa Otto is a nice walk's distance from Santa Christina, which is to me, the most charming of the three villages in Val Gardena. Spectacular views from every spot. Free bus a short block away.

Cosy, big, nice and clean apartments, pleasant owner. Not far away from the center of the village and bus stop. Quiet place near the river. Strongly recommended for those who loves silence and peace. I would like to visit this place again)))

Villa Otto was great! The place is clean, spacious, and brand new. It lies hidden in the valley by a nice little river, and it is walking distance from the town center. Our host Mattias was there for our arrival, he kindly explained everything we needed to know, and showed us around the property. We went skiing almost every day since the slopes are 5 minutes away by car or bus, and we went back to visit Bolzano (don't miss out on the archeological museum)! Thank you for having us!
